Neighbourhood

Jaco, is one of the closest beaches from the capital city of San Jose, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists. Jaco attracts visitors from all over the world looking to soak up sun and surf for their vacation. Jaco beach is 2 miles (3.2 km) of pure surfing waves with dark sand and deep blue waters. The surrounding landscape stays green all year long due to the nearby Tarcoles river and high humidity of the tropical rainforest. What’s even better is that Scarlet Macaws are commonly seen flying around the beach and the surrounding hills. As a result, you have forest, beach, spectacular sunsets and wildlife at Jaco! The Town Due to the fact that Jaco is the most developed beach town in Costa Rica, you can find shopping available, including modern grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, ATM’s, souvenir stores, car rentals, several highly rated restaurants, etc. Nearby there is a popular plaza called "Jacó Walk" with restaurants, open air music/entertainment, and a safe playground for the kids. Jaco Weather The weather in Jaco is hot and humid due to its location on the coast. Average temperatures are mid 80’s to low 90’s F (29 C) in the dry season and low 80s F (26 C) in rainy season. Jaco experiences typical tropical weather. Dry season is from December – end of April and rainy season from beginning of May – December. The hottest months are March and April, like the rest of the country. Things to do Surfing and surf lessons, kayak, stand up paddle board, ziplining, horseback riding, ATV tours, canyoning, fishing, bicycling, Waterfalls, golfing at Marriott Los Sueños Resort with its two golf courses and 200 slip marina. We are a laid back couple who love to travel and our jobs usually allow us to do it with great frequency and ease. Our daughters Veronica 22 and Adriana 19 don't accompany us as often on our adventures anymore due to their own responsibilities. Hairo is a systems engineer and works on Internet projects as a freelance. I dedicate myself to Special Events. I am allergic to cats so it is impossible for me to stay where they live. Our Condominium is a secondary home and also an investment that we use in a few months as a source of rent. We usually travel alone but sometimes we hope to do it with our daughters or a couple of friends.
