General overview

Peaceful setting on fourth floor by the Seine River, with access to central Paris in 20 minutes by train. Great area for walking, cycling, visiting local historical buildings: Chateau de Saint Germain, Chateau de Monte Christo and a little further afield Chateau de Versailles. Vibrant market 3 x per week and plenty of supermarkets wi th in walking distance. Private club, les Pyramides is almost next door. Playground and volleyball court in ‘our’ garden.

The space

Very sunny, warm and light open plan kitchen, living, dining room. 3 bedrooms, two with double beds (1 is king size), 1 shower room with toilet, 1 bathroom, and 1 seperate toilet.

Guest access

Easy access to fourth floor via lift - one is very small for two people, the other designed for bringing luggage , groceries etc upstairs.

Notes

Paris is incredible at any time of year and our view is constantly changing which makes even just being at home an absolute pleasure. If interested we also have a studio in the Isere part of the French Alps, with skiing in the Grand Domaine of Alpe d’Huez and amazing summer hiking (locally and in Parc des Ecrins). NB We have a few plants in Paris but normally put them in the bath when we are away. If you wanted us to leave them out for you to water once a week that could also work.

Neighbourhood

Castles, parks, riverfront walk/cycle tracks, Impressionist artist trail and much much more - I am still so new here that I’ll need to do soem research on that one!

Getting around

Walk to shops, supermarket is either about 500 metres away or up the hill in Saint Germain en Laye (maybe a km).... The RER A train goes right into the centre of Paris and leaves from Saint Germain en Laye or from Le Vesinet - Le Pecq (a bus takes you there from outside our building!). Charles de Gaulle airport is 35 kms away and can also be reached by train.

Member description
Our New Zealand-French family of 4 ( occasionally 5 when either granny or my eldest son from New Zealand joins us) have recently moved to a Parisian suburb after spending 7 years living overseas. We all love exploring the world, meeting new people and learning languages. We have two small studios elsewhere in France that could also be used for a swap.
