Stones River National Battlefield, a 570-acre park along the Stones River, is less than 4 miles away; Barfield Crescent Park, a beautiful 430-acre community park with several biking, hiking trails, is about 4.5 miles away; The Old Stone Fort State archaeological Park, about 30 miles away, wonderful place for hiking, was built during the Middle Woodland Period, 1,500-2,000 years ago. Native Americans used this area continuously for about 500 years. Long Hunter State Park, a 2600 acre state park, situated along the eastern shores of Percy Priest Lake, is about 26 miles away.
