Neighbourhood
The location is amazing!
You don't need a car, Montpelier train station is close by which takes you to Bristol Temple Meads. There are buses and trains to take you all over Bristol but I really recommend walking as you get to see so much more of the city that way. We are right by Gloucester Road and St Andrews Park. I would recommend a walk to the harbour in the city centre, Clifton, Southville and visiting the city farms at St Werbergs and Windmill Hill. On a Sunday we enjoy Clifton car boot and Tobacco Factory Market. The harbour also has an incredible street food market on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
If you have a car, you can head across the bridge to Wales, visit the Cotswolds or Mendip hills or drive
Getting to my home
Free parking on the street if you plan to drive, we are close to the M4 and M5.
Otherwise you can:
- get a coach to Bristol and walk up Gloucester road to the property (or catch a bus)
- fly to Bristol airport and either get a taxi or a bus
- get a train to Bristol Temple Meads and then either walk or bus from there or get a connecting train to Montpelier
We have Uber and Bolt in Bristol
Nearest airport
Bristol airport (25min drive)
Getting Around
Everything you need is walkable
There are lots of cyclists around Bristol so you are welcome to bring your bike and keep it in the garden during your stay

We're Shannon, Kane and Sunny and we are very excited to be newbies in this wonderful community. When we travel, we always prefer to live like locals as much as possible and find the simple beauties wherever we are, so to be able to swap homes with people around the world feels like a perfect fit for our little family!
We are currently looking for a short break in Europe from 14th - 18th July to celebrate Kane's 30th birthday! We would ideally love somewhere with access to a pool to keep little Sunny cool.
We currently live in a one bed flat in Bristol, which we love, but as we intend to grow our family we are also looking for longer term arrangements for somewhere with a bit more space that is commutable (within an hour's drive) to Bristol.
If you are interested in either of our listed properties, we would love to hear from you and organise our first exchange!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
