Please read here first.
The truck only goes with the trailer if it's a sim exchange (simply because we only have the truck to drive around in). Also the truck are fitted for 3 people total. Bring your own tow vehicle or you can rent them here in Denmark. The trailer is a Knauss Sudwind 485 (4.85m long) and requires a tow vehicle with 3500kg towing capacity.
Please don't bother inquiring if you don't have experience with trailers, many things can go wrong fast, even with experience.
The Space
We have the trailer set up with a queen sized bed at the back (close to the door) and a 4 person dinette at the front. The dinette can be converted into another queen sized bed but we have only kitted out for 2 persons with things like outdoor chairs etc. There is a 2 plate LPG stove, small fridge/freezer, sink, chemical toilet and wash basin. Ample storage. The trailer carries about 25 l of fresh water and one tank of LPG. The inside can be heated using the LPG heater of electric heater if you are hooked up to mains power. There is also a small hot water tank which can be used if hooked up to shore power. It has a single Li Ion battery which powers the fridge and lights when not hooked up. The chassis is also equipped with "movers" which allow for easy parking and hooking up. The small exterior tent is easy to assemble and has limited space for 2 chairs (provided) and storage for bikes. The trailer is not new (c 2008) and while the exterior shows some wear and tear, the interior is in very good condition.
Guest Access
Access is via the very broad and stable camper staircase and main door. The main door is covered by the tent when the tent is put up. Emergency egress is available from the bed window and the bunkhouse storage area.
Notes
The camper is reasonably small and easy to tow. Danish law states that you cannot tow above 100km/h and this is enforced. However you will require knowledge of caravan camping in order to tow and use this vehicle. It will not be appropriate to learn on our camper.
We camp in this vehicle in spring, summer and autumn. We do not recommend using the vehicle in winter because of freezing pipes, difficulty in maintaining interior temperature and towing on frozen roads.
The truck (if required) is a bit of a monster and does not always fit into European spaces. It has an 8 speed automatic gearbox so is easy to drive but has a 5.7 l V8 engine so is pretty heavy on petrol.
