General Overview

Beautiful spacious lodge situated on a holiday park just outside Ormskirk in Lancashire.

The Space

I’ve had to state it’s a caravan but our brand new bespoke lodge is so much more than that. As you can see from the photos it’s more like a holiday home. We have a large wrap around deck with comfortable garden furniture. Coming into the hallway to the left we have the open plan lounge with patio doors leading to the decking, kitchen with full size dishwasher and dining area. Off the hallway is the main bathroom with walk in shower. Next up we have the spare room/office that has plenty of work space as well as a full size single bed. The main master bedroom has ample storage and a king size bed. The accompanying large en suite has a full size bath with shower overhead.

Guest Access

The lodge is all on one level but there is 3 steps to get up the decking.

Please note rentals are not allowed on the site but we have had management permission to carry out house swops like this.

Neighbourhood

On our site we have a fully equipped gym with over 50 classes per week, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. There is also a golf course. A bar and restaurant are also on site. Please note membership/access of the gym isn’t included with the swop but please ask and we’ll get prices for however long you wanted.

Getting to my home

There is an hourly bus service that passes the park on the main road which is about 1/4 mile at the top of the lane. It would be easier if you did have a car but not impossible without.

Nearest airport

Our place is about the same travel time from Liverpool John Lennon Airport as it is to Manchester International Airport

Getting Around

From Ormskirk you have such easy access to the whole Fylde Coast, Yorkshire, North Wales, Liverpool or Manchester. All are only 1-2 hours by train or car. Our nearest seaside town is Southport and by car is about 10 minutes drive.

Hi there, I'm Jo and my husband is Brian. We are both over 50 and loving life right now. We have our own business here in Liverpool in the UK and are in a very fortunate position we can operate from anywhere in the world for many weeks at a time. We have recently done 3 months in Portugal, 2 months in Thailand and a month in Australia. We love travelling and exploring new places but have been to many places more than once. Once we get a vibe for somewhere we love we hole up there and stay a while. We both used to have day jobs until starting the business and longed for the day we could spend time travelling. Our business is managing Airbnb properties so we think we know what it takes to be great house guests and can assure you we will look after your place like our own. We ideally like coastal locations that are easy to get around. We aren't object to car hire but prefer to use public transport where possible. We are currently planning Australia for january/february 2028. Europe any other time in the year. We are happy for shorter breaks in the UK too.
