2021 Grand Design 23BHE bunkhouse travel trailer with full hookups including water, electric and sewer located in our fenced in backyard. Within 30 min or less of our home: - [ ] Hatcher pass: Independence historic mine - $3 a person, hiking (good mint trail is easy and beautiful) and blueberry picking in August (BUCKETS full) - [ ] Iditarod headquarters - free & pet puppies! - [ ] Palmer Friday flings - local art vendors and food trucks - [ ] Matanuska river trail - [ ] Palmer Hay flats reserve - [ ] Reindeer farm 1.5 hour of our home - [ ] Matanuska glacier tour - $75 per person (personal favorite Alaska experience) - [ ] Talkeetna - best chance to see Denali. Delicious restaurants and sit at the river on a clear day to see Denali. Mahay’s tours does a great train/boat tour with luck you’ll get to see the mountain. - [ ] Girdwood: Alyeska ski resort(tram ride - $35 per person), hiking (Winner creek trail is our favorite easy hike), eat at double musky. - [ ] Historical Crow creek mine - $10 per person and great camping spots (Reservations required online) close to everything in Girdwood. Beautiful views, amazing flowers, and gold panning. - [ ] Whittier tunnel - day cruises, fishing tours - [ ] Northern lights September - April 3.5 hours from our home in Wasilla Seward (BEAUTIFUL DRIVE) - [ ] fjords/whale tour - [ ] guide ocean fish trip - [ ] Sea life center - [ ] Seward train ride from anchorage is amazing Cooper landing - 3 hours - [ ] class 2 river rafting - - [ ] Russian river salmon fishing charter Homer - 4 hours - [ ] Deep sea fishing at anchor point https://www.alaskagulfcoastexpeditions.com/fishing/ - [ ] Seldovia (across the inlet from Homer) has some nice B&B’s. The Space

2021 Grand Design 23BHE bunkhouse travel trailer with full hookups including water, electric and sewer parked in our fenced in backyard. Sleeping accommodations include 2 full size bunk beds and a queen in the primary area. The camper has a well equipped kitchen, residential fridge, walk in shower, blackout curtains, and a dinette. Laundry can be accessed inside our home with proper communication. There’s a 6 gallon hot water heater for showers, but sometimes a longer steam is needed; so if requested our home is open for daily showers as well.

Guest Access

Access through a gate to the backyard and up 3 stairs into the camper.

Notes

We have 2 large, friendly, well-mannered dogs (Chief and Weezer) that will most likely be around during your stay. They go everywhere with us, but use the backyard during the day while we are home. Open communication about coming and going will be very helpful in making sure they give you space!

Ted Steven’s airport is 1 hour drive from our home and a train stop 15 minutes from us as well.

Bailey

We are a family of 5 with adventurous souls! We live in Alaska during the summer where my husband works as an equipment operator. While he’s busy at work the kids and I enjoy gardening, fishing, camping, hiking, foraging and hunting. After his work season we winter in Arizona, where we visit with family and explore some of our favorite places. We homeschool our three young children. Our favorite activities include the junior ranger program, museums, zoos and experiences that teach us about the cultures and traditions from the places we explore. Our time together during the off season is so special to us and we love to make the most of it. We love all animals and have extensive experience caring for furry loved ones.
