We have been super busy renovating our lake house that is just a 13 minute drive from Clemson University. We basically gutted it: new electric, plumbing, insulation, drywall, hvac, roof, water heater, a bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel, etc.
The house sits on 2.5 acres of lake front property. Outside features an inground pool with diving board and basketball goal, hot tub coming in November, dock, outdoor shower, volleyball/badminton net, cornhole boards, inflatable kayak, inflatable paddle boards, fishing rods, life jackets, and fire pit with seating for 8. The side deck offers a sectional sofa with coffee table, dining able for 8, and 4 rocking chairs with end tables. The back deck features 2 bar height tables with seating for 4. The covered, screened in porch offers a ceiling fan, sectional sofa with coffee table, and 2 rocking chairs with end tables. The downstairs patio features a conversational set for 7. You’ll find loungers and Adirondack chairs around the pool. Hanging lights surround the pool and side deck. Needless to say, there is plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful ambiance. There is parking for 4.
The house is located on an inlet. It is 150’ across with an 8’ depth by the dock at full pool. We are approved for a boat dock. We are hoping to have one by the spring. Currently, boats and jet skis can be tied against the existing dock. The house also features a private boat ramp that is only available at full pool. There is a tree swing that goes into the water across from us. It’s very secluded as no houses can be built across from us, and there is only one other dock that can be seen from our dock.
There is a $200 cleaning fee, OR we each take care of the other’s cleaning so neither one of us has to worry about cleaning when we end our vacations.
The Space
It sleeps 12. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, kitchen, laundry with wash sink, and two dining areas between the main floor and downstairs. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms (queen, king, and king) and with 1 bathroom. Downstairs has 1 bedroom that is a kids’ room with 2 twin bunk beds with trundles to sleep 6. It also features bean bags, toys, games, books, and puzzles. There are games, books, and puzzles for adults upstairs. There is a pool table and ping pong table.
Guest Access
There are 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk in shower, living room, dining table, and kitchen on the main floor. There are no steps into the home.
Downstairs is the kids’ room, 1 bathroom with walk in shower, living room, and laundry.
The fireplace and well cannot be used by guests.
Notes
No pets allowed. The house is not suitable for toddlers due to the stairs being open on one side.
This property is unavailable to swap second half of May through the second half of August due to it also being our rental property.

Toya and her family were absolutely wonderful to have in our home. They communicated phenomenally and were a joy to work with. So glad they enjoyed their time at the national parks of South West U.S.A! We look forward to visiting there home when we can in 2024.
We thoroughly enjoyed having Toya, Mario, and their three children as guests in our home and highly recommend exchanging with them. They are lovely people, enthusiastic travelers, and respectful guests. Also, great sports—the dishwasher broke down and they were easy about us installing a new one on their second day here. We appreciate the care they took of our home and that they cleaned and did laundry before they left.
The second half of our exchange will be in May: we'll be visiting South Carolina and staying in Toya and Mario's home next month. It was gratifying to have such a positive exchange experience; we are looking forward to seeing them all again.
It was a pleasure to host Louise and her friends/family again. She left our home in wonderful condition and is always a pleasure to communicate with. She was also so thoughtful. I highly recommend exchanging with them. We can’t wait to visit their home in Maine!
We had a great time at Season’s place! There is SO much to do in this area. We visited Gunlock State Park, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell and Glen Canyon, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Sand Hollow Aquatic Center, Canyon Park, Washington Community Center, Thunder Junction, Snow Canyon State Park, Cinder Cone, Veyos Resort, Red Hills Desert Park, and Pioneer Park. Like I said, there is plenty to do! You’ll enjoy the comfortable beds and relaxing by the pool. After hiking, the hot tub jets are AMAZING. Her location is perfect and so close to many of these places. Not to mention, Season is thoughtful in her communication and responsive to any questions you may have. I’m positive you will love staying at Season’s!
Jen and Joe are such wonderful guests. It was so nice to get to see them again and spend time together. They are so kind and a joy to have conversation with if you get the chance to meet them. We would definitely host them again. They are excellent communicators. They left the house clean and were respectful of our home. Hopefully we will have the pleasure to see them again one day!

We had a wonderful stay at Kelly and Angelo’s. They graciously opened their home up to us for a non-reciprocal stay out of the kindness of their hearts while away on another trip. Their neighborhood is so unexpected within the city- quaint, quiet, and with a rural feel. It almost feels like a totally different area! The kids and I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and were VERY impressed by how big this neighborhood. It is perfect for people wanting to enjoy a stroll. The house had everything we needed: cozy beds, several TVs, fully stocked kitchen, ample space, and a beautiful outdoor living space! Kelly has quite the green thumb, and her beautiful yard will not disappoint. My kids also enjoyed the many toys provided.
As already mentioned by others, there is an abundance to experience in Charlotte. We enjoyed beautiful parks and all the Discovery Place museums. Whether a family, retired couple, or single traveler, there will not be a shortage of experiences for you.
Kelly and Angelo are also wonderful hosts. She provided thoughtful details from the welcoming wine to the baskets filled with fresh towels, soaps, and face wipes. Even while traveling on a relaxing trip, she never failed to be available to answer my questions. You will definitely have a lovely stay at Kelly and Angelo’s!
Jen and Joe were such lovely hosts. They were so hospitable and kind. We enjoyed getting to meet and chat with them! They have a beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. We cooked every night and had everything we needed to do so. The house was clean, well decorated, and spacious. The kids loved playing in the little play area, and the toys kept even our 11 year old occupied for hours. There is a playground just a block away, and the neighborhood is perfect for biking. We managed to do and see so much in our short time. They are centrally located between Baltimore and Washington D.C., which made for so many wonderful experiences and memories! We even managed a day trip to Hershey, PA. Whether a single person, couple, or family, you will have PLENTY of options for dining, entertainment, and sight seeing! Grocery stores, restaurants, and the Metro are close by. We cannot say enough positive things about our stay and our hosts. I highly recommend staying at Jen and Joe’s! We look forward to welcoming them to SC in May!
Louise and her party were wonderful guests! They left the house clean. I enjoyed getting to meet them. They were very friendly and kind. We look forward to staying in her home in Maine!
Season hasn’t found a time that works to come here, yet. We are looking forward to hosting her in the future! I’m sure they will be amazing guests. 🙂
