Neighbourhood

Talensac is a very welcoming little town in Brittany. It is located in the land of Brocéliande, the land of Arthurian legends and Merlin. You can visit beautiful Breton villages and go hiking and forest walks. The region has an intense associative life and offers many Breton festivals and cultural events. We enjoy walking around the area and can offer tips for tours. 10km away is a leisure centre on the edge of a lake with many activities for all ages: beach, tree climbing, sailing... Gourmets will appreciate our Breton products: French pancakes, pastries, seafood, and other typical recipes to make at home or to enjoy in restaurants. Rennes is 20 minutes away by car, bus or train. It is a large dynamic city with a medieval center where it is good to walk, the Lices market renowned for its very good cuisine. Talensac is a good starting point to visit all of Upper Brittany in summer and winter We are less than 1 hour from the sea: Saint-Malo/Dinard to the north and the Gulf of Morbihan to the south. Mont Saint-Michel is 1 hour 15 minutes away, and Nantes (capital of the Dukes of Brittany) is 1 hour 30 minutes away.

Getting Around

In the village, we have shops: bakery, butcher shop 2 times a week, grocery store, pharmacy, restaurant... 5 km from the house is a cinema, a swimming pool, a supermarket, a regional market (quality local products), restaurants... We can travel by train (Rennes) or by plane (Nantes, Rennes). Paris-Rennes by TGV in 1 hour 25 minutes.
