Hospitality Description: I have a secondary home in Italy, and I am often there. During my time in Alabama, I do work from home, so I am easily available to guests if they need something or want advice on things to do in the area. There are hiking trails, kayaking on the Coosa River, plenty of lakes and restaurants ON the lakes. It's a quiet but picturesque town. I am happy to spend time with guests if they want to meet me, but I am also happy to allow you the comfort of your own space. We do often make a fire in the front yard to roast marshmallows and enjoy the stars in our darkened skies.

Neighbourhood

Downtown has an "old town" and a casino. We are about 15-20 minutes from "town," and so this stay is most enjoyed by car. The neighborhood has a lot of farms, big fields, lots of animals around. We are about 40 minutes to Montgomery Airport, 1.5 to Birmingham Airport and about 2.5-3 hours to Atlanta Airport. If you are looking for an easy stay within an hour of Auburn University for school tours, events, etc., we have already hosted several guests through Air who have found this location ideal without the expensive Auburn hotel stay.

Getting Around

You will need a car. There is no public transport here. We are on a small farm compared to neighbors, but a car is essential. Town is about 20 minutes away. Our closest "convenience store" is about ten minutes.

I am the proud owner of a beautiful little flat in the heart of Tuscany. I would love to explore more of the world through a home exchange venue, while sharing my sweet little corner with others.
