General Overview

A slice of calm in the busy City of Cairo! Right next to the airport for an easy transfer, 10minutes from New Cairo for all your hearts desire of restaurants and shopping, 5 minutes to Heliopolis, 30mins to the Nile, 40mins to the pyramids and new Grand Egyptian Museum and old part of the city for sight seeing and other museums.

The Space

Our Cozy Home with Private Garden 🌿 We’re opening up our family home in Cairo for you to enjoy while we travel. This place is very special to us, full of love and warmth, and we’d love for you to feel right at home here. A master bedroom with its own private bathroom for comfort and privacy. A spacious, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need — all appliances, cookware, and electronics to make your stay easy and convenient. A main bathroom for guests or family use. Two separate cozy living areas with large, comfy sofas — perfect for relaxing, watching TV, or spending time together. One of these living rooms could be used as a spare bedroom if required- it has a sofa bed with a lovely soft mattress topper we use to make it nice and comfortable. Air conditioning and WiFi throughout the home. Our Favorite Part — The Garden A private outdoor space with artificial grass in the centre and lots of greenery surrounding it. A comfy balcony area where we love to enjoy our morning coffee or evening chats. A shaded area so you can relax outside at any time of day, I love to do my yoga here.

Guest Access

All accessed via ground floor (small ramp or 5 steps up to the building no entrance). Go through the building lobby which has a locked door accessed via key or intercom system (used for deliveries, visitors etc). Can also access via our locked garden gate.

Notes

We have many other family members living in this same compound who would love to help host you or assist you with anything on your visit. It would be almost rude if you didn’t eat their food at least once! You can pay about 250 EGP to access the hotel gym and large heated pool within the compound, either few minutes by car or 15minute walk. We swam there with our 8 month old, they like their training pools to have water very warm- especially in the winter!

Neighbourhood

Location & Access Our home is in a safe and quiet compound, just 7–10 minutes from the airport. The compound offers full services and even has a shopping mall filled with cafés, restaurants, and shops. Plenty of parking spaces are available if you’re driving. Very accessible to Uber and taxis, making it easy to get around the city hassle-free. It’s a warm and inviting home, made with love, and we hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as we do.

Getting to my home

By road it’s less than 10minutes from Cairo International airport- unless you’re Egyptian and used to the crazy driving (I’m British but married to an Egyptian!) I would recommend using Uber- it’s really reliable and affordable in Cairo- I use it to get around everywhere when we’re visiting from the UK, either on my own or with my baby.

Getting Around

You can walk to the mall inside the compound for a supermarket and everything you need for food at home, or for eating out. Lots of options for food delivered to your home too. However if you’re buying a lot, I’d recommend getting a taxi back with your shopping! I’d use Uber for everything else in Cairo. If travelling to the Red Sea for some sun, renting a car is a good option, or even flying:.
