General Overview

This newly renovated 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home in Sitka Alaska is perfect for a short stay on the island. Near town and trails there is lots to do. Sitka is a destination for those wanting to fish for salmon, halibut, lingcod and rockfish. Wildlife tours are popular as are our Raptor and Bear sanctuaries. There are multiple places to hike and beauty everywhere. Sitka sits right on the ocean and is full of wonderful activities on the water or off. It is a cultural centerpiece having played a significant role in the Russian history of Alaska, and is immersed in Native Alaskan history. The home is near a grocery store and less than 2 miles to downtown Sitka. We own a wildlife tour business and offer discounted wildlife & whale watching boat and land tours to swap guests wanting to see the local sites while in town. We are happy to help you coordinate your travel or offer suggestions as professionals in the area.

The Space

It has 3 large bedrooms, Upstairs, the Queen bed primary has an ensuite bath with heated floors, a 1/2 bath off the large open living room/kitchen and a walk out deck with a view of the Pacific Ocean in Sitka Sound where beautiful sunsets can be seen. Downstairs there are two more large bedrooms with King sized beds, another full bathroom with heated floors, and a living room with TV, a dedicated workspace as well as a full-sized laundry.

Getting to my home

Alaska Airlines has multiple daily flights to Sitka May-September originating from Seattle (2.5 hr flight) or Anchorage (1.5 hour flight). Juneau is a 23-minute flight away. We try to be available to pick people up at the airport, but if you fly in really late or early, you can grab a cab.
