We live in a modern semi detached house on a quiet road in the middle of a quaint Saddleworth village. It has 3 large bedrooms, a playroom, large kitchen diner and a beautiful, well loved garden. We have recently renovated our home and are very house proud but are happy to let others come and enjoy our home too.
The village is approx 20 minute train journey to Manchester City Centre so we have the best of both worlds... a quiet, peaceful home with wonderful neighbours yet a great vibrant city just a short trip away. Saddleworth itself is made up of 7 little villages all of which are laid back, very traditional and community spirited. we even hold our own Olympics for the children of the villages once a year.
The villages are ideal if you enjoy walking in the stunning countryside scenery and a drink in the local pub afterwards!
Saddleworth is well known for hosting a number of traditional events through out the year. To name a few, in August a 'Yanks' event takes place where in everyone gets dressed up in post war outfits and the village goes back in time to the 1940s. We also are well known for our brass band competition - bands come from all over the world to participate in the musical event. This takes place usually in May.
We are a family of 4 who would love to start travelling and see the world. My husband and I work hard, my husband Chris as an engineer and I, Kyla as an A&E nurse. We have decided we need to spend more time enjoying ourselves and seeing more of what the world has to offer!
We have 2 children, a son aged 11 who has just started high school and a daughter who's 7 who is in year 3. They love anything outdoorsy and are active members of the local scout group and gymnastics team.
We are looking to travel anywhere in the world and are definately open to suggestions. We are particularly keen to visit the USA, Canada and Australia but obviously having children may restrict us sometimes to school holidays.
