General Overview

** Not currently available to exchange. The unit is rented out until at least November 30 2025 ** Our Casita is a unit attached to our home, it is a 1 bed/1bath best suited to 2 adults max (possibly a child could sleep on the couch too.) Our property is quiet, filled with mature tropical plants and the unit has its own gated entrance and yard. Easy walk to Moonlight Beach and downtown Encinitas!

The Space

The Casita is a 1 bedroom with king bed, 1 bath with in-unit washer and dryer. Kitchen with high end finishes. Hardwood floors, Dutch door and private side yard with bbq and outdoor furniture.

If you visit while we are at home (in the adjoining house) be aware that we have 3 kids and a big friendly dog who you might hear playing! The unit is gated off for privacy but we share an entrance from the street.

Neighbourhood

*It is a residential neighborhood with a mix of families, older couples and single younger people. People are always out exercising and walking their dogs. Our neighborhood is very quiet and tranquil, neighbors respect each other and don’t play loud music or have loud parties after 10 pm. BUT- downtown Encinitas and Leucadia are easy walking distance where there is plenty going on with restaurants and bars later at night! *Casita will be cleaned before any exchange. We just ask that you leave it as you found it, there are cleaning supplies in the unit.

Getting to my home

We are about 30 minutes from San Diego International Airport. There is a train stop walking distance (.5 mile) which can take you north to Orange County, Los Angeles and beyond or south to San Diego where you can easily hop off to visit Del Mar Racetrack, Old Town or Downtown, catch a Padres game or a concert. Disneyland is one hour away, Legoland is 15 minutes by car.

Hi there! We are a family of 5 living in Encinitas, CA- a beach town just 30 miles north of the San Diego airport and close to many beaches and attractions. We absolutely love where we live and often think, why would we even leave to go on vacation?! The answer is, we love to travel and experience new places which everyone in this group understands 😊 We have a gated large lot with a pool, spa, basketball hoop, skate ramp trampoline, bikes etc. Our home is easy walking distance to Moonlight Beach and downtown Encinitas with many shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Also the train stop is walking distance if you want to head to Del Mar Races, Old Town, or San Diego. Disneyland is one hour away by car.
