General overview
*Hi! We are a family of 5 looking to host for non-sim or globe Aug 4-10 2024 and Oct 18-26 2024. Also Christmas Break 2024, first week of April 2025 and Summer 2025! Europe, Mexico/Costa Rica and ski destinations highly desired but open to anything!
Our home is the perfect vacation house- a quick walk to Moonlight Beach and all that downtown Encinitas has to offer. There are countless restaurants, shops, coffee shops, fitness studios, other beaches, etc within easy walking and biking distance of our home (5-20 min walk.) The house is a large 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath family home with a large tropical yard with pool, spa, and play equipment.
The space
Sleeping areas- master with CA King bed and private bath, three bedrooms upstairs (two with twin beds, one with a queen) and a bedroom downstairs with a queen sofa bed. Comfortably sleeps 8 in beds.
Living Space- bright beachy living room with fireplace, dining room with huge table, beautiful updated kitchen, family room. TV in Master bedroom and Family Room. Also a “kids area” in garage with tv and video games.
Yard- we are on a large lot with grass (turf) and a pool and spa. We have a whole play area with swing-set and trampoline. Bikes and surfboards available.
Guest access
Two level home. . No stairs to enter home so someone who is disabled could stay in the downstairs room and never need to go upstairs.
Notes
My mom lives in a unit attached to our home. It has its own private entrance and yard. She keeps to herself but is there if you’d like to say hi and introduce yourself!
**We have a pool with no fence so young children who cannot swim would potentially be at risk.
We have a dog but he will be away at boarding when we exchange. Just want to mention it in case of allergies. He is not ever allowed in bedrooms or upstairs.

Neighbourhood
It is a residential neighborhood with a mix of families, older couples and single younger people. People are always out exercising and walking their dogs. Our neighborhood is very quiet and tranquil, neighbors respect each other and don’t play loud music or have loud parties after 10 pm.
BUT- downtown Encinitas and Leucadia are easy walking distance where there is plenty going on with restaurants and bars later at night!
Getting to my home
We are about 30 minutes from San Diego International Airport. There is a train stop walking distance (.5 mile) which can take you north to Orange County, Los Angeles and beyond or south to San Diego where you can easily hop off to visit Del Mar Racetrack, Old Town or Downtown, catch a Padres game or a concert. Disneyland is one hour away, Legoland is 15 minutes by car.

Hi there! We are a family of 5 living in Encinitas, CA- a beach town just 30 miles north of the San Diego airport and close to many beaches and attractions. We absolutely love where we live and often think, why would we even leave to go on vacation?! The answer is, we love to travel and experience new places which everyone in this group understands 😊 We have a gated large lot with a pool, spa, basketball hoop, skate ramp trampoline, bikes etc. Our home is easy walking distance to Moonlight Beach and downtown Encinitas with many shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Also the train stop is walking distance if you want to head to Del Mar Races, Old Town, or San Diego. Disneyland is one hour away by car.
