General Overview

Our home is bright with a modern, minimalist interior. We have a nice south-facing garden with sun all day. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Central Copenhagen is only 15 min away.

The Space

I have a three-story townhouse. There’s a bedroom with a double bed in the basement and two children’s rooms on the first floor, each with a single bed (adult size). The bathroom is also located on the first floor. The ground floor has a hallway, a kitchen, and a large living room. We also have an extra fold-out mattress, and the sofa can be used for sleeping as well.
The house is equipped with toys and games suited for 7- and 9-year-old boys and has fast Wi-Fi. There is a PS5 and several streaming services. 

We have a lovely south-facing garden with sun all day. The terrace includes a gas grill, a fire pit, and hammock chairs. In the garden, there’s a trampoline and various outdoor toys.
Our neighborhood is quiet, with friendly and helpful neighbors.

We have a sweet cat that needs food and a bit of attention. She is an outdoor cat and mostly takes care of herself.
A car swap is possible – I have a Renault Grand Scenic (7-seater).

You cannot bring pets, and parties or smoking inside the house are not allowed (smoking is permitted in the garden).

Guest Access

There is a small staircase with four steps leading up to the front door. Inside the house, there are stairs to both the basement and the first floor.

Neighbourhood

Within walking distance from my house, you’ll find a supermarket, a pharmacy, a bank, cafés, and a great sushi restaurant.
300 meters down the road, there is an outdoor swimming pool, and at the other end of town (4 km), you’ll find a lovely little beach and harbor. You can drive to the large and beautiful Køge Bay Beach in just 14 minutes.

For local nature experiences, Vestskoven (The Western Forest) is nearby, and Hvidovre is home to one of Thomas Dambo’s Six Forgotten Giants. The other five are also located in the surrounding area.

The train station is 1 km away, and from there, you can reach central Copenhagen in 12-15 minutes by train or bike there in about 30 minutes. In Copenhagen, you’ll find a wide selection of fantastic restaurants, museums, and attractions, including Tivoli Gardens, The Little Mermaid, Amalienborg Palace, and Nyhavn.

Getting to my home

If you fly, you can rent a car or take a taxi from Copenhagen Airport – it’s a 15-minute drive.
If you arrive by train at Copenhagen Central Station, take a train to Hvidovre (15 minutes), then either walk 1 km or take a bus to my house.

I don’t have a private parking space, but there is shared parking in the area.

I am a school teacher living in Denmark with my two youngest sons aged 7 and 9. We are looking for new experiences around the world 🤩.
Suitable for children, in a safe area with a peaceful atmosphere in the evenings and at night, preferably with access to outdoor facilities. Warm weather and swimming opportunities would be nice, but we are also open to unique experiences and breathtaking nature.

We’d like to travel for 1-1.5 weeks, possibly up to 2-3 weeks if the journey is long.
We will take good care of your home, just as we expect you to do with ours.
We’re happy to look after pets (except dogs). 
We did a local swap last summer.
