General Overview
Nestled in the foothills of the Wellsville mountains in historic Mendon, Utah, Mendon Orchards is a place to make memories that the whole family will enjoy for years to come.
Built in 1908, The Farmhouse sits on two acres of breathtaking property. The heavily wooded yard around the house gives the impression of being very secluded but in reality is just blocks away from the charming town square. Situated behind The Farmhouse is the idyllic orchard with over 250 apple trees.
The Space
The Farmhouse has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which makes it ideal for a family with kids, couples retreat, or friend getaway. The three bedrooms and one of the bathrooms are located on the second floor, while the living room, kitchen, dining, and second bathroom are located on the ground floor. *The bathrooms are not attached to any of the rooms. **The bedroom with the three twin beds has a bunkbed and a trundle underneath it. Unwind around the fireplace and dinner table by playing with the provided board games. Spend an evening cooking in the intimate, brand new kitchen. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the classic clawfoot bathtub.
While The Farmhouse is stunning in its own right, the outdoor amenities are where we really shine! In addition to the orchard, you will also have access to a fire pit, outdoor dining area, grill, and kids play area with a real hobbit house! As of January 2024, guests will have access to an authentic FINNISH SAUNA!
Because this property is a short term rental most of the time and we have a cleaner that manages it, visitors will be asked to pay the cleaner $120 to clean after the stay. For an additional $20 fee (that covers the extra laundry) we can also leave out nice robes, extra towels, and scents for the sauna.
Guest Access
With few exceptions, guests will have access to the whole property. There is one closet upstairs that we keep locked for cleaning supplies, the basement will be locked, the garage and the shed behind the house are used to store orchard supplies and will be locked to keep the little ones out. There is also a barn on the very back corner that houses large orchard equipment that we ask remain closed for safety reasons.
Notes
Cache Valley is along the scenic corridor to Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole/Grand Teton National Park, along which you will experience the Logan Canyon National Scenic Byway, Bear Lake (known as the "Caribbean of the Rockies"), and beautiful Star Valley.

Neighbourhood
Mendon is an ideal location for exploring the mountains and taking advantage of everything Cache Valley has to offer. You will be blocks away from the town center with a library, playground, baseball diamond and soccer fields, as well as a seasonal food stand, soda stand, and shave ice stand. Mendon is famous for its annual May Day and 24th of July celebrations and The Farmhouse is close enough to walk to all of the festivities. You will be just two miles from Deep Canyon trailhead where you can hike to the top of Mendon Peak. You are a short drive from Cutler Marsh and Benson Marina, both popular places to canoe and kayak. In nearby Logan there are countless delicious restaurant options, entertainment, and grocery stores.
