General Overview

It truly couldn’t get any more central! At a 10min stroll to Brandburg gate, Museums Insel and most other Berlin sights, our place is the perfect base for visitors exploring Berlin! A modern and warm 1 bedroom apartment (sleeps up to 4) on the 2nd floor with an elevator. Apartment has all the amenities to make for an enjoyable stay in Berlin. Beautiful neighbourhood with bars, restaurants, supermarkets, public transport.. yet tucked away from the main roads.

Guest Access

Located on the second floor but accessible through a large elevator.

Notes

We recently got a spare hair drier for the apartment after some feedback that it would be helpful for guests to have one :)

Neighbourhood

The neighbourhood of Berlin Mitte (central) is a vibrant and safe place that is home to most of Berlin’s famous sights. Our road is right by the river Spree and a lively place with theatres, restaurants and bars that are popular with tourists and locals alike. Brandburg Gate and Reichstag are 10min walk along the river, Museums Island, Berlin Dom, Hackische Höfe 10mins in the other direction. The train station is a short walk away as used to be the main boarder crossing between East and West Berlin. Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle but tucked away in the back building, our apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Berlin.

Getting to my home

It couldn’t be easier! Our home is a 5min walk from Friedrichstraße train station - one of Berlins main stations that has exceptionally good connections to everywhere with multiple lines of S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram, and even trains that will get you to nearby cities like Potsdam, direct to the airport etc. Biking is popular in Berlin and you can always find bike sharing bikes available on our road as well as car sharing with an app called Miles.

Nearest airport

BER - Berlin Brandenburg International airport. Direct train connection on FEX train to Friedrichstraße station (5min walk from apartment) Berlin main train station also connects to everywhere else in Germany and even Europe and is only one stop away (2min). Munich can be reached in 4h and Hamburg in 2h, Prague in 4h, Dresden in 2h, and even Paris can be reached with an overnight train now.

Getting Around

Close to everything. 5min walk max to supermarkets (in the train station- open late), bars, restaurants, take seats, shopping, pharmacies.. everything is at your doorstep.

People Like Us Local Guide

Open to meet new people always! The local experience would be a beer in a German pub or beer garden but we can also show around the city or just help out with practical questions. We’re quite knowledgeable on Berlin’s history.

Nina

We are a couple from New Zealand, Nina who is German born and Sam born and bred in NZ. We live in central Berlin, only 10min walk from Brandenburg Gate, and enjoy all the wonderful things Berlin has to offer. Nina works in Business Development for NZ Food & Beverage exporters to Germany and Sam works for the NZ Navy. We love travelling to new destinations, exploring different cultures and meeting new people. In our spare time we enjoy being in the outdoors, cooking new recipes and spending time when possible with family in the North of Germany.
