Neighbourhood

Our home is at the heart of the (North) Jordaan, the trendy neighbourhood with canals, small streets and squares with many creative shops, hip eateries and cozy pubs. The area is filled with history. It is a 10 minute walk to the Anne Frank House. The popular Noordermarkt and Lindegracht markets on Saturdays and Mondays are around the corner. It is at the centre of the city but still feels like a neighbourhood. Just walk around and get a coffee or a drink in one of the cosy cafe's. We love to make walks in the city - any time of the day including the evening.

Nearest airport

Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station takes between 15 and 20 minutes (there's 5 trains per hour). It's a 15 minute walk to the train station (or 15 minutes by bus)

Getting Around

Exploring the neighbourhood and city centre can easily be done by foot. Walk around and explore! When in Amsterdam do as the Dutch do: Cycle! It is the best way to go around the city. 10 minutes cycling will get you to any part of the city centre and 15 minutes to most of the rest of the city. That is if you take the direct route... We advise/implore you to get lost a little bit! Public transport - bus stop at a 5 min walk. Central Station with all trams and busses is at a 10-15 min walk. There are 4 bikes (2 adult and 2 children available), please check in advance to see if sizes will match up. Bike rentals are close by. For nature trips take the bike and the ferry (for free) to Amsterdam Noord - and enjoy the nature and the picturesque villages like Durgerdam or Marken. Or take the bike path behind Westerpark.
