Our house is on the South Coast of the island of São Miguel, in the bathing area of Caloura, parish of Água de Pau, 20 minutes drive from the airport. It is a pleasant place with easy access to the entire island. Nature and diversity are queens here. Caloura, a place in the Parish of Água de Pau, is blessed by a mild and maritime micro-climate. It has a small artisanal fishing port for open-mouth boats and a bathing area with a semi-natural pool. There are beaches nearby [Água de Alto, Areia Larga, etc.]. Caloura is an idyllic spot on the island's south coast, close to the islet of Vila Franca, also known as the Princess Ring. This accommodation is perfect for trips by "couples" and families up to 4 people.

Maria & Ricardo
We are a retired couple, my name is Ricardo and my wife Maria João. I was a professor of ocean sciences at the University of the Azores. Maria João was born in the Azores. Although I was not born in the Azores, I have lived here for more than 40 years. We love the nature that we enjoy every day in this Archipelago. Also the culture of this people. But when we travel, we seek out the cultural and artistic excitement of the cities. We like to stay in the center of the cities.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
