General Overview

We will be listing this second property when we move to New Zealand in November of 2025. We built this home ourselves, but haven't lived in it yet. Nelson is a vacation destination even for New Zealanders, as it gets more days of sunshine than any other place in NZ. When we move in, we'll be upgrading fixtures and countertops and adding a spa pool off the bedroom #1. We plan on doing tons of golfing, biking, kayaking and waterskiing when we get there.

The Space

We have 3 bedrooms, but the third one will probably only have a futon or pull-out couch. Plus we'll definitely have a pull-out couch in the living room. There are two bathrooms,, and the ensuite bathroom for bedroom # 1 is a 2-person shower. .The home has beautiful views: Todd's Valley to one side (Bedroom #2 walkout), and a sea view to the other (Bedroom #1 walkout). The glass panel front walls slide to open the lounge area and side of dining area to the front terrace. No raised track or ridge to stumble upon. On the terrace, there will be an outdoor grilling/dining/lounging area. The furniture in these photos is not ours. I'll update photos, including all three bedrooms when they are a fair representation of what it will look like for you. Currently it is extremely cluttered. :( I can't wait to take possession and update it with our own furnishings.. Stay tuned.

Neighbourhood

Our home is in Todd's Valley. Wineries are nearby. We chose this building location because we loved the view and we are outdoorsy people. The Nelson area has tons of biking and hiking trails, golf courses, outdoor festivals, beaches, Abel Tasman National Park, gin breweries, and many things we have yet to explore together.

Getting to my home

Nelson has an airport. Most people fly from Auckland to Nelson, or directly from a major airport in Australia.

Nearest airport

Nelson Airport is a 20-minute drive away.

Getting Around

Car rentals are best because you'll want to do lots of exploring. We will also have 2 electric bikes.
