This is our main home.
Refurbished to a high standard. It is a family friendly home with each space to enjoy.
The one bedroom guest cottage in garden is listed separately.
We love having coffee outside in porch every morning looking at the mountains which are literally a few steps away!
It is a quiet village that comes alive in summer and on every spanish fiesta holidays...which is often😉
Our home is in one of the most sought after areas of Valencia as it is cooler in summer and gorgeous in other seasons.
It is walking distance to the village. Bus stop steps away which takes you to the town near by (10 mins) where you can take the metro to Valencia (25 minutes)
We love our home!
The Space
We have 4 bedrooms in main house. 2 king size, obe double and one with two single bed. Depending on agreement, we will confirm which bedrooms will be available.
Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
Large kitchen and walk in pantry. Dining room for 6 comfortably. One cozy lounge and work space with fireplace and one lounge downstairs. There is a large TV lounge room upstairs with access to balcony.
There are two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs.
The house has underfloor heating on the ground floor for winter and cool fllor in summer. The upstairs has heating and air conditioning (split system) for each room independently.
Outside you have a lovely porch that runs through one side of the property. There is also one of our favourite places an outside kitchen with gas BBQ and a dining table. The 'paellero' where yummy paellas have been made is also available but discussed and agreed prior as some fire restrictions are in place from time to time.
There is another sunked chill out area to enjoy
There is an outside shower and bathroom and a utility room with a washer. (No dryer as hanging lines are plenty and dry clothes very easily).
Plenty of garden to enjoy.
There is a tennis court which is a little old. You can use it if you wish. We have a small gym set up on a corner of the tennis court that you can use.
It is a spascious home but feels homely.
Guest Access
There is a main driveway with electric gates. House has wide entrances though 3 steps from porch.
The upstairs is reached by stairs with iron ballustrades (please note young children may fall through the gaps). Sorry designed them with teens in mind🙄
Notes
Please note the guest house which is at the end of the garden will not be available when main house is exchanged.
There will be a maintenance man coming once a week to tidy up garden and clean pool.
The pool area is near the guest cottage. It will be available all year round but its not heated. Cold water lovers in the winter months can enjoy it.
Children must always be supervised. The pool area is not fenced in.
Our garden is large with different sitting areas.
The house will be fully cleaned by our cleaner prior to arrival and do ask for cleaning fees for once you leave. This is 130 euros (cash is left with the caretaker).

Neighbourhood
We are 30 min from valencia airport.
We are at the bottom of La Sierra Calderona which is a national park mountain region. There are cycling paths that run from here to valencia. You can sometimes watch the cycling racing teams practise!
You walk outside cross the street and you can climb, walk or run up the mountains. You can mountain cycle as well! I love walking through the many paths as I don't run. It's gorgeous!
There are many places to have coffes, drinks, breakfast and lunch and dinner. There is a small supermarket walking distance or a main one 20 min walk or 5 min car in town.
Cash points, church, plaza, children's park, post office, pharmacy all walking distance. Even a library 🤪
Horse riding near by is very popular too! Beaches are driving distance or by metro going into the city and changing trains.
So as you can see, it is a little gem! If you are looking for nightclubs, party scene, this is not the place. If you are looking for peace, chilling out by the pool, quiet, nature, culture and beach together with mountains, then this is the one (july and august tend to be louder as it comes alive with Valencianos staying at their summer homes)
Getting to my home
Valencia airport only 30 minutes away by car/taxi.
Or you take metro to near town then taxi to the house (unless you arrive when the bus timetable is running last bus 830pm)

Lina
Nick and Lina. We are husband and wife in our 50s. We enjoy travelling as a couple and sometimes one of our children ages, 18, 17 and 28 join us when we manage to persuade them to do so! Most if the time it will be just the two of us and maybe one or two more adult family members but rare. We also travel (depending on location) with our dog Lola a cockapoo that doesn't shed hair as I am allergic.
We both work remotely and travel for work.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
