Neighbourhood

Mermaid waters is a sought after location as it has parks, shopping centre ( Pacific Fair) , swimming pools , sporting facilities, beaches , and is a great starting point to visit the Gold Coast hinterland . You can manage without a car as transport options are good. But a car can be easily parked on site in garage or in street adjacent.

Getting to my home

Easy to reach domestically or internationally via Gold Coast or Brisbane airports. Drive takes approx 30 mins from Gold Coast airport and has direct bus route from airport to Broadbeach. Brisbane airport , then train to Gold Coast . Approx 88 km . Takes approx 1hr 10 min by car or 2-3 hrs by train / bus

We are a retired professional couple - originally from the UK - but now Australian citizens living in Perth WA since 1989. We have four daughters in Australia but family in the UK, Portugal, Sweden and the USA . As Michael was a high school French teacher, we like to visit France or Europe to see family when we can. We generally travel as a couple (or couple with one of our daughters) but occasionally will meet up with family members if we can and hopefully a swop can allow this . We may also be able to offer a unit on the Gold Coast when our daughter from there travels with us.
