Neighbourhood

The house is in a quiet residential neighbourhood, only a 2 minute drive down to Lisfannon beach if you don't fancy the walk back uphill. You can walk down in about 10 mins but it takes longer on the way back up as it’s steep. It's only a 3 minute drive to the Marina in Fahan and the lovely Railway Tavern restaurant. It's also only a 3 min drive to the award winning wedding venue and restaurant, The Red Door. The town of Buncrana is only 5 minutes away with many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. In the summer a car ferry also runs from Buncrana across the Lough to Rathmullan. A favorite cafe is Tank & Skinny’s on the beach. You are also only 20 minutes from Derry and the multitude of things to do there, or 25 mins from Letterkenny. From Letterkenny it's a short drive to Mount Errigal and the Gaeltacht area. Donegal was named no 1 hidden gem by National Geographic in 2017. Some of my recommended spots and activities are: Wild Ireland Dunree Fort Driving over the stunning Mamore Gap Horse riding in Buncrana or Tullagh Bay Wild Alpaca Way & Malin Head Glenevin Waterfall Doagh Famine Village Malin Head (Ireland’s northerly pointy Grianan of Aileach ancient ring fort Inish Adventure in Moville for watersports Surfing in Culdaff Karting at the Halfway Ferry to Rathmullan and drive to Fanad Walled city tour in Derry Craft Village Derry The Giants Causeway Bush mills Distillery and Portrush
