General overview

Vancouver's prime tourist attractions are at your doorstep in this fully-equipped, family friendly five bedroom home. We are 4 minutes to the base of Grouse Mountain (world class hiking, skiing, mountain biking) 20 minutes to Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver, 5 minutes to quaint Edgemont Village, and 400 m to a major bus route. Yet, all you'll hear from our patio is bird songs and neighbourhood children playing in their yards. It's the perfect place to explore all that Vancouver has to offer, and retreat to a hot tub garden oasis at the end of the day.

The space

Our family home is beautifully decorated with modern amenities. On the top floor you'll find a large, open concept main living area, spacious primary suite with king bed, walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom, two kids rooms (one with bunk bed), and a bathroom with a bathtub. On the ground floor, there is another kid's room, a guest room, bathroom, and a rec room (the kid's favourite area) with tons of toys, games, swings, and hammocks, and patio doors out into the back yard. There is also a secondary 2br suite on the ground level that can be rented as well. Please enquire. Our home beautifully appointed and recently renovated. There is 1100 sq ft of multi-level deck, and the whole property is surrounded in lush, mature gardens. The back yard has a large grassy area for playing, a bouncy castle and 10ft pop up swimming pool in the summer months, a year round trampoline, and a hot tub for your enjoyment. Welcome home!

Guest access

The home is a reverse floor plan, so the main living space (kitchen) etc is on the second storey. Spacious front entrance with tons of storage space for your gear.

Notes

We are open to car exchanges and have a non-shedding, hypoallergenic pup. We also have a live-in nanny who's so lovely. She doesn't often travel with us... so she's available for you to hire if you'd like some childcare/food prep/house cleaning while you're staying, or she can clear out as well if you'd like the space all to yourself.

Neighbourhood

Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension bridge, Capilano Canyon, and Edgemont Village are all less than 5 minutes from our house. Our house is in a very family-friendly, safe neighbourhood on a flat area, despite our location on the mountainside. A few amenities are easily walkable and everything else is within 15 minutes.

Getting to my home

Our home is two blocks from a major bus route (Capilano Road). The buses go into downtown Vancouver, where you can access the Skytrain network. You can also take the bus or taxi down to the Seabus in North Vancouver, and take the Seabus boat over to Waterfront Station in downtown Vancouver. That connects you to the Skytrain station as well, which networks all over the lower mainland (including the airport)

Nearest airport

Vancouver International Airport to our house is 30 minutes with no traffic or 1 hour in busy traffic. It's about 1.5h by public transit. Abbotsford airport is also close by at about 45 minutes in regular traffic.

Getting around

Walk, bus, or drive to all that you need. Everything is close by!

Natalie

We're a young family with two entrepreneurial parents and two, (sometimes three if we can convince our teen to hang out with us) kids. My husband and I have travelled lots, but have yet to begin the world-wide adventures with our littles. We're excited to start showing them the world! Open to Europe, USA, and South/Central America. The further the destination (from Vancouver), the longer we'd stay. Hawaii would be a huge plus :)
