*We have lots of flexibility so reach out to ask rather than look at our calendar*
Cozy classic Vancouver house in very convenient but peaceful westside location. Within short walk to public transit (one bus to downtown), shops, movie theatre, community centre and a few blocks from Pacific Spirit Park, a network of trails in a 1000 acres of Westcoast forest.
The space
The main floor is composed of living room with gas fireplace, dining room, kitchen and office with guest bathroom, French doors open off the dining room to the large furnished patio and yard. We have nice eating and lounging areas, and a Weber grill.
Upstairs is one master bedroom with ensuite bath (including steam shower), a former bedroom converted to office, and a cozy TV and media room with queen size sofa bed. Also another full bath. All rooms have their own balcony and there is a peek a boo ocean view from the balcony of the master bedroom
Guest access
Coming from the front are two sets of stairs from the street below. If coming from the back it’s flat except for four stairs.
Notes
We support a Ukrainian refugee family who live in a suite in the lowest level. You may hear kids playing.
We have reconfigured two bedrooms since these photos were taken (one to an office and another to a den with sofa bed)

Neighbourhood
Extremely safe, tree lined and peaceful Westside neighborhood. We are three doors from a large public park with a lot of green space, playground, community centre and tennis courts.
You can cut through the park and a 10 min walk takes you to the shops (groceries, restaurants, movie theatre, pharmacy), or to the bus stops where you can easily get to downtown in 20 mins with one bus, the beach, the university.
Two blocks in the other direction and you’re in a network of trails great for walking, running or cycling through 1000 acres of westcoast forest.
We have several bikes you can use.
Getting to my home
From Vancouver International Airport, rent a car and drive or take public transit (one train and one bus). We are 20 mins away.
Nearest airport
Vancouver International Airport (15-20 minute drive)
Getting around
You can walk or take public transit literally everywhere. Biking is also a great option. A chance we can do a car exchange but need to check with our insurance.

Sandra & Ron
We are Ron and Sandra, two almost retired professors on sabbatical. We have done lots of Airbnb rentals with our home but never tried an exchange. We are the proud parents of Tah, a very well behaved and affectionate Standard Poodle who could ideally stay behind to help our guests in some cases (he's extremely friendly), or come with us for others (depending on whether we can drive with him or not).
"Our adult daughter lives in Seattle so open any time to a long weekend visit (ideally if we can bring our standard poodle)."
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
