If you want to experience the real NYC in a convenient, family friendly location, stay in one of the best neighborhoods in Queens. Located in Jackson Heights, our apt is just 3 stops (5 train lines) from mid-town Manhattan. There is also a free Q70 Shuttle from the Jackson Heights subway stop directly to LGA.
Wrapping the top floor corner of centrally located Dunolly Gardens built in 1939, this bright and spacious two-bedroom home underwent a complete and modern transformation, creating a highly functional home, convenient for entertaining and day-to-day living.
Please make yourself at home, help yourself to the toiletries, towels, and all things in the kitchen. There is a brand new TV with streaming services and high speed wifi available.
The space
Anchored by beautifully refinished floors, this layout flows seamlessly from the foyer into the living space and the half-open kitchen, which is extended by a custom quartz bar counter. Meals flow effortlessly onto the counter or to the adjacent dining area from the amazing chef’s kitchen,
which offers a herringbone backsplash, five-burner stove with microwave hood, spacious refrigerator, motion sensor sink, and a dishwasher. The custom quartz counter offers bar seating and added storage. Its classic design extends to the bath, with white subway tile walls and
tasteful fixtures. As you would expect, there are ample closets and practical built-in storage.
Guest access
Our apt is located on the top (6th floor) of an elevator building that has north and west facing window. It is bright, spacious, and airy and a great place to come home to after a busy day.

I have the unique experience of having been born into a military family and so I have lived in over a dozen different cities in the US and abroad over my lifetime. It's been a privilege to have called some of the greatest cities home: La Jolla, San Francisco, Cambridge, NYC, and Palo Alto. Plus being an academic has allowed me and my husband to traveled around the world when on break from being a tenured professor in NYC. My adventures have led me to seek out warm welcoming spaces while exploring new towns and I have brought those touches into my own spaces when we host friends and family.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
