General Overview
This family vacation home is just 2 miles from the gates of Mt. Rainier National Park, Enjoy hiking, climbing and exploring, then relax on the huge deck or soak in the cozy hot tub after a long day away.
The Space
The house is a 1 bedroom with a sleeping loft, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, huge deck, and a hot tub. Rustic and vintage decor sets the tone for a laid back escape (with WiFi). Our guests from all over the world have enjoyed how well-stocked the cabin is, with family games, DVDs and even a library of vintage VHS tapes. Wildlife is just outside your door, and you'll find lovely mountain walking trails just down the street. Or use the cabin as your base for adventuring into gorgeous Mt. Rainier National Park, just two miles away.
We offer keyless door code access. Because we are several hours away, exchange guests will need to thoroughly prepare the cabin for the next guests.
Guest Access
Guests must be able to climb up a dirt path and then up a number of steps to the deck. Inside, the sleeping loft (and location of the TV) is up a narrow flight of stairs.
Notes
This is our extended family vacation home. It is not available for exchange during the months of June, July or August.
——
NOTE: I am actively seeking exchange guests for 2025 ONLY as we are considering selling the cabin in 2026. We can accept globes, plutos, sim or non-sim stays. We can accept well-behaved dogs. I have a week available in September, November, and December.

Neighbourhood
This is a rustic neighborhood of vacation cabins, camping lots and year-round residents. Since 2020, a number of very nice cabins have been constructed. You are very likely to see many deer during your stay.
Getting to my home
A car is necessary for accessing the cabin. Access roads are paved, but the driveway is gravel. Check Mt. Rainier National Park requirements for chain requirements in the park.

Getting Around
A car is essential. A few restaurants in the town of Ashford offer meals, and a small grocery is fine for picking up last minute groceries. A larger store in Eatonville is suggested for stocking up on essentials.

We are happy to consider exchanges with our beach house, our mountain cabin near Mt. Rainier National Park, or our home a ferry ride away on Bainbridge Island. Starting in the fall of 2025, we will also be able to offer hospitality, PLUTO, non-sim, and globe exchanges for Cozy Cove Guest Suite, our new guest studio apartment at our house.
Except for our primary residence on Bainbridge Island, our homes are generally rented and not available for exchange during June/July/August unless it is a simultaneous exchange.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
