General overview
Hi! My name is Bartek, and together with my family, I would like to invite you to my home. It is a house where my family and I, along with friends, live as often as possible. Feel at home here and experience the unique atmosphere of this place. A place we want to share with you when we cannot be in Mazury (we live in Silesia on a daily basis).
Mazury is a region formerly known as East Prussia, annexed to Poland after World War II. It is a place full of lakes, forests, and picturesque post-glacial hills, where a fascinating history intertwines with charming nature. Here you will find abandoned palaces, impressive fortifications from the First and Second World Wars, a medieval castle, marinas, and many other places worth visiting.
Mazury (also called "The Land of The Great Lakes") has that special "something." That’s why I always dreamed of a romantic, old house in a quiet place in Mazury, somewhere by a lake, in peace, close to nature, and away from people. A house full of warmth, music, and positive energy. A house where you can see a sailboat far on the lake through the windows and fall asleep to the sound of waves and wind.
Today, after years of searching, I would like to invite you to my dream house.
Our house is located on the grounds of the historic Prussian manor Roganty (Roggen). The building was constructed in 1927 and slowly fell into ruin during the communist era. It was rebuilt around the year 2000 and underwent a major renovation in 2019. Bring your family or friends! Here you can spend your time actively or relax and unwind while listening to vinyl records from our collection (a turntable is available in each apartment). This place has a soul :)
The space
The house consists of three fully equipped, two-level apartments.
Each apartment is approximately 90 square meters in size and is comfortably furnished and equipped.
Each apartment includes:
A large, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area
A living room with a sofa bed (sleeps two), a fireplace, TV, and a turntable
A master bedroom (double bed)
A "children's" bedroom (two full-size single beds)
A bathroom, an additional toilet, and a hallway
One of the apartments has a lake view, while the other two overlook the garden.
The building has Wi-Fi internet access.
All rooms are equipped with mosquito nets.
You also have access to an old barn converted into a grill and party house, where you can have a bonfire, watch a movie on a big screen, play video game, relax in massage chairs, pour yourself a beer from the bar, or simply just have a coffee. And if the mood gets festive, turn on the disco ball and have fun!
If you like, take advantage of our wood-fired sauna. It’s a great way to end the day. And once you're nicely warmed up, run to the lake! The water is shallow and safe near the shore.
You also have access to kayaks, a rowboat, bicycles, and SUP boards, volleyball court. Cooking enthusiasts can use the tandoor oven.
Notes
If you have any questions or needs during your stay (e.g., fresh farm eggs, fresh or smoked fish), our local friends who take care of the house daily will be happy to help you.

Neighbourhood
The house is located at the end of the road, by the very clean Dargin Lake. There are no full time occupied houses nearby. Thera are three houses (which are rented time to time) an sailing camp of one of the universities (which is used only in June and August).
The last 3 km of the road leading to the house is a picturesque gravel road. The nearest store and restaurant (opened randomly) is 3 km away. It’s a 15-minute drive to the center of city of Giżycko (where many restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions are located).
The surroundings of the house are a great place for nature lovers – countless bird species and a lot of wildlife (including moose, beavers, badgers, otters, and sometimes even wolves in winter – don't worry, they are more afraid of us than we are of them ;) ) as well as a lot of fish in the lake.
For those who like to explore, there are many interesting trips possible. A cruise on the lakes, a visit to the Wolf's Lair bunkers – Hitler's headquarters, a visit to the palace and port in Sztynort, and many, many more.
