General overview
Overlooking the horse paddocks on our 50-acre farm in Central Kentucky, this newly constructed, cozy cottage is a complement to our other, much larger listing located on the same property. Both are in the countryside but still close enough to all the experiences we Kentuckians hold near and dear.
Spend a day at the races in April or October, get up close and personal with all breeds of equines at the Kentucky Horse Park, climb or hike the Red River Gorge or sip your way along the (in)famous Bourbon Trail.
We are just minutes from Mustard Seed Hill, an elegant wedding and event venue whose stunning Christmas light display draws folks from far and wide.
The space
Light, bright and airy describes our 740 sq. ft. cottage. Dubbed Smallville while under construction, it is perfect for a couple looking for a soul-quenching retreat. And, it doesn't feel small at all with 9 ft. vaulted ceilings and lots of thought given to maximizing space and minimizing stress.
Enjoy coffee in the morning or an evening beverage on the porch which overlooks horses grazing in their paddocks. Occasionally the friendly sheep will make an appearance as well.
The kitchen area features a farmhouse sink and full-size appliances. Wifi allows access to the real world if that's what you want, but you may choose to forego reality for a while as you drift back in time listening to the sounds of Amish horse and buggies as they clip-clop down the road.
Guest access
One bedroom and bathroom located on one floor. Full size kitchen appliances. Wifi.
Notes
We maintain smoke free homes, but if you have animal allergies of any kind, the farm might not be the place for you. As on any farm, we ask that you adhere to the old adage--"If you open a gate, close it. Immediately." Escapees are no fun and can be dangerous, especially if they get on the road.

Neighbourhood
Many of our neighbors are Amish, and you will no doubt meet them on your stay. We are less than 2 miles from a quaint small town with surprisingly good dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The town of Paris, 15 minutes away, boasts several excellent dining spots, including micro-breweries and distilleries. Lexington is only 30 minutes away, and the Bourbon Trail is all around us.
