General overview
Nestled in a little Valley in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park our home has just been totally renovated to a high standard. Cosy, but with far reaching views over the Cleddau estuary or across the landscaped garden. Just sit and watch the boats go by.
Private and secluded but located in a friendly rural community near the historical town of Pembroke, yet peaceful and close to nature. Great access to the historical sites and beaches around Pembrokeshire.
We are also ten minutes from the ferry to Ireland so If staying for a longer visit you could include a short break to Ireland. The main centres of Pembroke, Tenby and Saundersfoot are within 20 minutes drive. The islands of Skomer and Ramsey visited for their wildlife and puffins within a short drive to the boat crossing.
Just search Pembrokeshire Coast National Park on the internet for more information about our beautiful tourist destination.
The space
We have a large modern kitchen, breakfast and sun room with views across the estuary. On the ground floor a covered porch, entrance hall and open plan lounge with large picture window looking across the garden. A small bedroom with double bed, adjacent wet room bathroom with shower and then a study/bedroom which has two pull out single beds. Upstairs we have a spacious double bedroom with double bed and bathroom with bath and shower. Along the back of the cottage is a covered conservatory area with the laundry facilities in a small room at the end. There is a two acre garden with stream running through it and features such as bog garden, vegetable garden and orchard.
In the garden in an elevated position away from the cottage in the woods is a garage and independent studio accommodation. We may choose to stay in this during your stay if not an exchange, but this would depend on our arrangement with you and we could then be available if required.
Guest access
The cottage is accessed through an electric gate and down a short tarmaced track and then slope. So very secure and private.
There is attractive paving around the cottage for easy access and patio sitting area. As well as seating all around the garden.
There is a woodland path from our garden which takes you down to our kayaks and the estuary and joins the National Park path. Many paths are also accessed from our gate.
Notes
We do have an electric car charger that can be used if we are in the studio. by arrangement .
The house is very eco friendly. We are heated by a heatpump and solar energy.
We have good internet access through a WiFi router and good mobile phone signal with ee

Neighbourhood
We have many walks right from the cottage but the whole of Pembrokeshire is superb for walking and enjoying the outdoors. There are many beaches, historical sights and interesting walks and places to visit.
Our close neighbours are delightful and would be pleased to assist anyone staying. The village of Cosheston 5 minutes away has a village hall with activities going on and popular pub/restaurant The Brewery Inn. On the main road out of the village is the popular eatery Martha’s and we are only 10 minutes from Pembroke with the historic castle and shops of all kinds. Pembroke Dock is a short drive with all major supermarkets.
The vibrant little town of Narbeth is 20 minutes away with lovely individual shops and eating places, deli and Spanish deli. We can provide a list of interesting, destination eating places to try.
Getting to my home
A car is essential as we are in a rural area. BUT we do have anew flecsi bus service which you could book to take you too some of the main spots like Tenby and Saundersfoot in Pembrokeshire.
There are good trains to Carmarthen and Pembroke where you could organise a car hire.
From London Pembrokeshire is an easy drive straight along the M4.
Nearest airport
Cardiff, Bristol and Heathrow is an easy four to five hour drive along the M4 motorway.
Getting around
Car essential. Nearest shops are in Pembroke 10 minutes away. Local producers will do deliveries and we can provide a list.
There is a flecks bus system which can be booked by app to take you to major centres of Tenby and Saundersfoot.
Good train links to Carmarthen and Pembroke.

View across the Cleddau estuary from our kitchen sun lounge area. Just sit and watch the boats go by. The view is even more extensive in the winter/Spring when there are no leaves on the trees
Our cottage was totally renovated last year and sits in a two acre garden with a stream running through it down to the estuary. The garden is well tended and planted with interesting shrubs and flowers and we have an orchard and fruit garden.
We love our new kitchen which is easy to work in and look out to the water while you are preparing dinner. All the latest electric fan ovens, induction hob and dishwasher etc. Underfloor heating throughout in here.
The house is designed to let light and sunlight in form all sides. Here from the sink I am in April looking out to lovely camassias and bluebells
Visit in April to August and can take the island crossing to see the puffins on Skomer island
The view of the cottage from the woodland garden and studio
This is the view as we walk up to our orchard and paddock. The glass area along the back is a great enclosed conservatory, utility area where washing facilities are and additional storage and seating area.
We have a great new patio area accessed through the large sliding kitchen doors. A bbq nearby for use. The land drops away quite steeply here down to the stream but we have planted the edge with a hornbeam hedge. We have several exits out of the garden through woodland paths onto a nearby National Park trail and down to the shore and our kayaks.
Looking at the cottage from another high level seating area and our vegetable and fruit garden.
Looking into the kitchen area with the studio and garage up in the woodland
Our open plan lounge which has a huge picture window looking out onto the garden slopes. There is a cosy log burner for the winter. The room leads on to a double bedroom, wet room bathroom and study bedroom. These can be conveniently closed off by a connecting door.
View looking along to the kitchen entrance and light staircase with glass sides.
View from the lounge. Here we sit and watch the bird life and squirrels….. and watch the garden grow.
On the first floor is the large master bedroom and spacious bathroom attached. A double bed at the time of writing. A small desk and work area between.
Upstairs bathroom next to master bedroom with bath and walk in shower. Lovely view of the estuary from the bath!
Upstairs bathroom this is the walkinshower end. Underfloor heating in the bathroom.
Downstairs bedroom with double bed. Limited clothes storage but lovely room.
Bathroom with wet room shower adjacent to downstairs double bedroom and study bedroom
Study bedroom which has two single beds with proper mattress which make into a long seat. The bottom bed pulls out. The downstairs wet room bathroom is next door.
Bed in study bedroom. Lower bed pulls right out and can be separated.
