General overview
Well maintained 3 story Townhouse with a garage and additional parking space. 3 bedrooms 2 baths with additional sleeping space on the first floor. Fully equipt kitchen and dining area with seating for up to 12 people. This is the house our kids grew up in and is very special to them. They don't mind us renting out their rooms, but they always want it available for them for their visits home. We are very open to discussions for any type of stay, reach out and let's chat.
The space
Main floor is foyer, access to garage, washer & dryer and the office/4th sleeping space. 2nd floor is the kitchen, bathroom, dining and living room/theater. 3 bedrooms are on the 3rd floor with shared bathroom. The home is approximately 1800 sq ft.
Guest access
Walk-up 3-story townhouse. Garage has a code for entry, both front doors are code entry.

We know our neighbors well so if you need anything in an emergency, we can assistance you should you need it.

Neighbourhood
Chinatown restaurants are less than 5 mins away. Restaurants are plentiful with close to 100 within a 1.5 mile radius. Incredible Ping Tom Park is only moments away for picnics, runs, fishing or kayaking. Subway and bus stops are a 3 min walk. 3 miles or less to Millennium Park, Lake Michigan, Magnificent Mile, Greektown, Pilsen, Little Italy, Art Museum, The Field Museum, Planetarium, Aquarium, Soldier Field (Chicago Bears & concerts) and White Sox Stadium. Wrigley Field and the Cubs are a 25 min train ride away.
Getting to my home
Our home is conveniently between O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport. Train runs from both airports to within a 3 min walk. Rental car or rideshare will take you less than 30 mins outside of rush hour.

Getting around
If you rent a car, we have off street parking available. From our location, many attractions are walkable. The Chicago transit system is very convenient and only a 3 min walk from our home. We have a couple of bikes available, additional bikes and scooters are available for rent near Ping Tom Park entrance. Grocery shopping is less than a 10 min walk.

My wife and I are early empty-nesters who enjoy traveling and meeting people. My wife is the extrovert but I can hold my own. If your thinking about Chicago, reach out. Our schedule is very flexible, so even if our calendar says we're unavailable, we might still be able to work something out. Send us a message and we can chat.
Our two kids are in their early 20's and sometimes still travel with us. If they don't go with, we often take a friend or two with us. We have traveled internationally consistently for the last 5+ years and will continue to do so because of our flexible work schedules. We are both self-employed so that explains the flexibility, we can work from most anywhere there's internet. With the small yard that we have we enjoy growing flowers and vegetables in our garden. Come visit and you can pick and eat whatever's ripe. Our home is in the South Loop/Chinatown neighborhood of Chicago. Restaurants are literally a block away. We do have two cats that we can find temporary housing for if needed. If you'd like to feed and water them, bonus! Btw, my wife Helen is OCD with cleaning, which I see as a plus. You won't ever know they were here if we didn't tell you they were. They are not allowed on the furniture or two of the three bedrooms.
