General Overview

Three bedroomed house in Lanester, across the river Scorff from Lorient and within 30 minutes drive of the numerous beaches. Cycle and walking paths abound but the house is within walking/cycling distance of a large supermarket, fish shop, butchers, swimming pool, cafés, restaurants and five bourlangeries!

The Space

Three bedrooms, two upstairs, both double with separate toilet and bathroom with shower. Downstairs a bedroom/office with single bed, a bathroom with shower and, from November 2025, a bath. Well equipped kitchen plus large sitting room and dining area. Heating is electric radiators backed up by a wood burning fire in winter. Outside there is a garden of 1000m2, a small and large terrace with an electric awning. The house has large sliding doors facing east, south and west in the living area. Close to Lanester town centre, there is a primary school to one side and apartments to the other. Despite this, the garden is not overlooked.

Guest Access

There is a step up to the front patio then another step into the hall. There are wooden, open stairs to the first floor.

Notes

Not really suitable for young children. There are electric radiators in the 3rd bedroom, hallway, kitchen and lounge (two). There are heated towel rails in the two bathrooms. There is no heating in either of the upstairs bedrooms however, there are electric blankets on the beds and the fire in the lounge distributes hot air to the 1st bedroom.

Josie

I travel with my partner Neil. We like to discover other cultures, architecture, gastronomy and meet beautiful people. We practice cycling, walking, gym, swimming and salsa. I have lived in Lorient since I was a child, I am very attached to it, especially because the sea is close and it is good to live there. I am retired, my profession was a special education teacher. Neil and I each have our own house, mine is in Lorient, 5 minutes walk from the marina, shops and a quarter of an hour by car from the beaches. Neil will soon be moving near Lorient. There are many sites and events to discover in Brittany, wild coasts, archaeological sites, picturesque towns and villages and many folk festivals and festivals in summer
