Awe-inspiring view from a huge front balcony. Five minutes from an idyllic ski resort. We are working on it, so not ready to exchange yet.
The space
Our home is a rustic mountain cabin. The bottom floor is two large bedrooms, each with an ensuite and an outside door. The bedrooms each have a queen bed and twin over double bunkbeds. The two rooms connect through the bathrooms. The main floor is up a flight of wooden stairs outside. There is no access to the main floor inside the house. The main floor has an open kitchen, dining area, living room, as well as a laundry and full bathroom. There is a loft accessible by wooden stairs with a king bed and ensuite bathroom with tub (no shower). There is a large north balcony with a barbeque grill, outdoor seating, and propane heaters.
Guest access
The home sits up a dirt road from the highway. You'll need a four-wheel drive vehicle with high clearance to make it up the driveway. Our home has three floors, lots of stairs, and you'll need to go up outside stairs to get to the main floor.
Notes
Our home is on septic and well.

Neighbourhood
Our home is not in a neighbourhood. It's 20 miles (32km) from the wonderful mountain town of Durango, Colorado, USA. Durango is know for it's fully functional narrow-gauge railroad which runs daily to the old mining town of Silverton, Colorado. The town is home to great food, fantastic art, and amazing outdoor activities. Our home sits north of town up the beautiful Animas River Valley and about 5 miles (8km) south of Purgatory Ski Resort.
Getting to my home
You'll need a hire car/truck. There aren't any convenient public transportation options to get to our home.
Nearest airport
Your best bet is to fly into: Denver, Colorado, USA (about 7 hours drive away, but it's a beautiful drive); Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA (about 4 hours, starkly bold drive through painted desert); or more expensive but more convenient fly into Durango, which is about 35 miles (56km) south/southwest of our home.
Getting around
There is a small store and petrol station 3 miles (~5km) north of our home. There is also a resort with great restaurants 3 miles (~5km) south of our home. Town (Durango) is 20 miles (32km) south of our home. It has several grocery stores, small shops, drug stores, etc. There is a hospital 30 miles south/southwest.
