Neighbourhood
We live on a small, family friendly street near our local plant nursery where many people walk, run and bike on the streets. Neighborhood kids run and play in each others yards in one of Tennessee's safest towns. Neighbors are friendly but not intrusive.
We are a 5 minute drive to multiple woodland trails and hikes, small restaurants, and a fantastic locally owned grocery store with freshly prepared breads/meals/sushi and more. Downtown Chattanooga, with its many attractions, is a 20 minute drive. Many people visit this area for the outdoor opportunities: hiking, trail running, biking, rock climbing, rowing, paddling. However, the scenic city of Chattanooga has many fun pockets to explore and fantastic attractions such as the Tennessee Aquarium, High Point Climbing, Rock City, Ruby Falls, The Incline, The Choo Choo, Breweries, The Hunter Art Museum, Sunday Markets, and our Riverwalk & Walking Bridge.
Guests will need a car to get around the area. Chattanooga is a very easy city to drive in with plenty of street parking and garages and minimal traffic. There are rentals in the area- mostly near the airport.
Once you are in downtown Chattanooga, there is a free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes from the Chattanooga Choo Choo to the TN Aquarium with stops in between. An extended bus system is available for a small faire- visit gocarta.org for more info on routes and fees.
