Adorable ocean-front cottage in the heart of the Oregon Coast. Just 8 minutes north of popular Yachats and 20 minutes south of Newport, this house is in the quiet town of Waldport.
Head across the street to the beach, and you're likely to think you're the only soul in the world. See the Milky Way at night while soaking in the hot tub.
Beach walks, rock hunting, whale watching, fishing, crabbing, reading by the fire, soaking in the hot tub, watching storms roll in, selecting goods from the bakery, farmers markets in summer, amazing hikes....it's the perfect peaceful getaway.
The space
There are three bedrooms and two baths in the house.
Upstairs, there are two twin beds that could be pushed together if needed.
On the main level, there is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and ensuite bath.
Downstairs, there is whole basement suite with a king size bed, living area, and bathroom.
Please note that you have to go through the basement bedroom or through the queen bedroom to access the bathrooms, so the upstairs twin room is best for kids or for friends/family you are very close with. :)
Guest access
3 floors, steps to get in both front and back doors.
Notes
This is our second home, so there may be some things you will need to do when you arrive and leave, like turning water on/off and making sure all heaters are turned to low, etc.

Neighbourhood
The best thing about this house is that the beach is across the street! You can watch the waves roll in from the living room and two of the bedrooms or sit out on the front deck.
Cross the street and walk up and down the beach without seeing a soul for miles. Hop in the car and drive to amazing hikes, lighthouses, whale-watching, shopping, dining, and more.
Getting to my home
You will definitely need a car as the magic of this house is its isolation from everything else. Eugene Airport (EUG) is about 1 hr 45 min away, and Portland Airport (PDX( is about 3 hours away. It's a drive, but the drive is beautiful, and it's worth it for the escape you will get at this cute cottage home.
Nearest airport
EUG, 1 hr 45
PDX, 3 hrs
Getting around
8 minutes to Yachats
20 minutes to Newport
45 minutes to Lincoln City
You will need a car, but driving up and down the coast is magical.

Rebecca
We are a small family of three. We love to travel, eat, and explore!
Rebecca is a teacher, Zac works for a school district doing IT, and Emma is an 8th grader.
We have been doing Airbnb and VRBO for years, but thought we would try this to hopefully save more money and travel even more! Eventually we'd like to have remote work, and then retire, and continue traveling frequently.
