General overview
Welcome to our charming and inviting home, nestled in the heart of a serene and friendly neighborhood. Our cozy farmhouse is the perfect retreat for your next home exchange adventure.
The space
We are a 2.5 hour drive to NYC. There is also the option of taking the train from Albany, Hudson or another station.
We are 30 min south of Albany.
Greenville's prime location serves as a gateway to the beautiful Hudson Valley. Plan a day trip to explore nearby historic sites, vineyards, and charming towns along the Hudson River.
As you approach our farmhouse, you'll be greeted by large trees, a lawn and colorful flowers. There is a front deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings.
Living Room: This is a cozy reading and reflection space with comfortable love seats and a coffee table. There is a stone fireplace, built by stones from this land.
Family Room:
Upon entering, you'll step into our spacious and light-filled family room. Large windows allow plenty of natural light to fill the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The living room is tastefully decorated with a blend of modern and traditional furnishings, offering ample seating for relaxation and socializing. A cozy propane fireplace adds to the ambiance, perfect for chilly evenings. This room is great for stargazing at night, too.
Art Room: This is our work space. There are all sorts of art supplies and games in this room. A large table for projects and natural light all day with the large windows.
Kitchen:
Our fully equipped kitchen is a chef's delight. It features modern appliances, ample counter space, and all the necessary cookware and utensils to prepare delicious meals. The adjacent dining area provides a comfortable space for enjoying family dinners or hosting casual get-togethers.
Bedrooms:
We offer three comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms, each designed to provide a peaceful retreat for a good night's sleep. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom, while the other bedrooms have twin-sized beds. There are three twin sized beds (two share a room). There is a half bath in the hall.
Bathrooms:
Our home includes two full bathrooms, and a half bath.
Backyard:
Our home is on 6.5 acres divided between forest and fields. Relax and unwind in private backyard and forest oasis, where you can relax and unwind in a tranquil setting. In the summer, our pool is available to use too.
Additional Amenities:
High-speed Wi-Fi
Smart TV with streaming services
Washer and dryer for your convenience
Private driveway for parking
We have well water and a septic system, so it is important to have conservation in mind when staying at our home.
Location:
Our home is out on country roads, quiet and dark at night. Our small town is conveniently located about 3 miles away with a grocery store, hardware store, liquor store, farm store, a few restaurants, and a town park with beautiful walking trails.
Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or a home base for exploring the area, our home offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. We're confident that your stay here will be a memorable and enjoyable experience, and we look forward to welcoming you to our home for this exciting home exchange opportunity.

Lauren
Hello! We are a family of 5. Lauren works as mental health therapist in her private practice and Ben is an entrepreneur and business consultant. Our kids learn from home and the world. We've been to several countries and have spent a lot of time in Central America, which we love! We're a pretty laid back group and like just enjoying time in beautiful and unique spots. We enjoy hiking, most all outdoor activities and sports. We also love museums, architecture and learning about new cultures.
"Month long or a few weeks. We have spent a lot of time in Costa Rica and love this country. We love all locations in Costa Rica."
