The house is at the end of a nice cul-de-sac in the Strawberry Vale area of Victoria. Open concept kitchen and living area with a wall-mounted heat-pump/air conditioner. Wifi and a 46" big screen TV with cable and Netflix. Large outdoor deck with BBQ grill and table with umbrella and chairs to enjoy outdoor dining. Master bedroom includes a king-size bed and ensuite. Notes
We have a guest suite downstairs that we rent. The laundry room is in a shared area on the first level and has private access for both you and the guests in the suite so you will not need to interact with the downstairs guests in the laundry area. Our house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Strawberry Vale area of Victoria. Steps away from Rosedale Park (which includes tennis courts), and Knockan Hill Park. Two nice restaurants within a short walking distance: Crooked Goose Smokehouse and Cherry's Breakfast Bistro. Very close to Highland Pacific Golf Course, Esquimalt Lagoon, Beaver and Elk Lake, Thetis Lake Park, and Saanich Commonwealth Place Recreation Center (weight room, pool, library) https://www.saanich.ca/EN/main/parks-recreation-community/recreation/facilities/saanich-commonwealth-place.html
Victoria's world-famous Butchart's Gardens is only a 19 minute drive from our house (13.4 kms).

Esquimalt Lagoon, with its beautiful beach, is a migratory bird sanctuary and is only a 10 minute drive from our house.
Thetis Lake Park is 9 minutes away. It has a beautiful loop for walking around the lake through the forest and has swimming in the summer.
Beaver/Elk Lake park is 12 minutes away. It has a 10km flat loop through forest right next to the lakes which is used for walking and horse riding and is also used as a course for triathlon races including Ironman 70.3. I run there often. It's excellent.
Downtown Victoria's inner harbour includes, among other things: the BC Legislature, Royal BC Museum, Harbour Ferry, Fairmont Empress Hotel, and Fisherman's Wharf, Whale-Watching tours.

The house is well located for getting to downtown Victoria or the outlying areas. Via the Trans-Canada Highway no. 1, the house is an easy 20-minute drive south into the heart of downtown Victoria. Driving north on Highway no. 1 will take you up Vancouver Island. Alternative, highway 14 takes you out the west side of the island.
BC Transit bus stops are a 3 minute walk from the house which can take you to the inner harbour of downtown Victoria in approximately 40 minutes.
Day trips to Vancouver or the Gulf Islands are easily possible with BC Ferries. Also, the FRS Clipper can take you directly to Seattle in 2 hours and 45 minutes.
For cyclists who want to access the Galloping Goose Trail, it is a 6 minute bike ride away. A large trail network, it's a 25-minute bike ride to downtown Victoria.

Hello fellow travellers! We are a family of three from the west coast (best coast) of Canada in beautiful Victoria, BC. My wife, Mieka, and I are both professional classical musicians (Mieka plays the viola, I play the trumpet) and we're parents of 13-year-old Marcel. We are all originally from Victoria. Our musical activities allow us to travel during the summer which we love to do. We have hosted guests in a suite in our house using Airbnb since 2017. Looking forward to seeing what adventures we can have with PLU.
