Neighbourhood
The neighborhood is very quiet. We sometimes see coyotes, skunks and raccoons on the yard, even though this is considered a city. Neighbors are nice and helpful.
Getting to my home
7 miles away from Hollywood and also 7 miles away from Downtown Los Angeles. 22 miles from Santa Monica Beach. Public transportation exists, however it is a bit of a walk to get to it.
Universal Studios is 9 miles from the house. Disneyland is 32 miles away.
Nearest airport
LAX Airport is 25 miles away and Burbank airport is 9 miles away.
Getting Around
There is a small grocery store, a couple of cafes, a bakery, library and a park all walking distance, about 0.3 miles away. But generally we recommend renting a car for your stay. There is public transportation as well. And Uber works really well here.

We are a family of 3, living in Los Angeles, CA. Mom, dad and our daughter who is 7 years old. Dad is a college professor and mom is a real estate agent. We are able to travel mainly on school holidays: June, July, August, and December/January + 3rd week of November and 3rd week of March are usually good for us - we can do simultaneous or non-simultaneous. At our Los Angeles home we have 3 cats, that will be living at the home while you stay there - so you must be ok with giving the cats food and cleaning the litter box - we can do the same for you if you have cats! The cats never travel with us to your home.
* Currently looking for anywhere in the world for December 2025/January 2026 and June, July, August 2025 & 2026* Thinking of doing Sydney & Melbourne (but open to any suggestions!) summer of 2026, or if you want to do non-sim and stay at our home, it is available June 13th - July 6th 2025.
