Modern 3bedroom 3 bath home in a quiet gated community of 8 villas and 12 condos about 1km to town and 5km to beach
Both walkable and bicycle to town in minutes but nice to have a car to see the area
Our home is our primary home with beautiful private pool and gardens, we are about 1.5hours from the Cancun International Airport and to fully enjoy Tulum I recommend renting a car so that you can visit surrounding villages, cenotes and beaches.
The first level consists of kitchen and living room and our second level has a master bedroom with queen size bed and en-suite bath the other 2 bedrooms are jack and Jill style
Our home is solar powered Bi directional with the city so never without power and almost maintenance free. We have reverse osmosis for drinking water and a water softener
We do not have a dishwasher as water in Mexico is too hard on appliances, our home is mostly of concrete and glass and there is a open staircase in the middle of the home to the second level hence our primary reason for saying no children under 12
2floors with a total of 16 steps, we will either meet exchanges or have host available to give access.
This is a gated community with security 24/7
We have created a guidebook and have local contacts available should you have any problems while we are exchanging
Sport and leisure
Unsuitable for infants under 2
Suitable for children ages 2-12
Pets not allowed
Peace and tranquility zen gardens and only six full time residents other owners primarily use Airbnb.
Tulum is just a amazing part of the world, there is much to explore here besides the beautiful beaches, come to explore the many ruins and cenotes, or take day trips to colonial cities in the Yucatan including Merida, Valladeloid and Coba. If your a foodie or vegan this is also a great place to explore the Mayan Culture.
We have 2 bicycle but recommend rental car to really take in the area
Have put together a book of our favorite places and things to do

Sheila and James have a lovely and comfortable home in Tulum. We felt very lucky to stay there. It has everything you'd need, complete with a gorgeous garden. It's convenient to everything and a perfect jumping-off point for exploring the region. I especially appreciated their tips on local attractions.

We had such a great time at Casa Dew in Tulum! As there was some overlap, I was able to meet Sheila and James in person and that was definitely a highlight of the experience. They are such nice people and were very helpful before and during our stay. Their house is lovely and had everything we needed (and more!). It is located just outside the town, and is very accessible to the beaches, town, and ruins. Sheila knows all the best spots and even took me around town on a bike ride before our stay to show me her favorite places. Tulum is a special place and Sheila and James are wonderful people. We hope to be back again!!!
Thank you so much Sheila and James for letting us stay in your gorgeous home! Pictures show exactly how nice this home is ☺️
Information about the house and good recommendations regarding restaurants, sightseeing and other things could all be read in the nice folder ’Casa Dew’. Very handy communication via Whatsapp, heaps of good advise regarding queries we had, both prior and during our stay.
Mexico has do much to offer so I am sure there will be another trip in the near future ☺️
Will highly recommend an exchange!
We had a great stay in Sheila and James lovely home in Tulum. The house has everything you need as well as 24hr security and a private swimming pool. Location is good, walkable to shops and restaurants and to the Maya ruins. Sheila and James are great hosts which we highly recommend. The house was very welcoming and Sheila was always available for questions or just chatting. Thank you!
Sheila and James were new to the hosting concept but it was quite fun meeting them. They managed their way around the city and were appreciating everything. We exchanged alot with them during our meals and they're fun to get to know.
We would host them anytime again and hope one day to be able to go to their place!
Josh and annas place is central to every thing

Josh and Anna were very respectful of our eclectic home in the jungles of Tulum

Jessica and Lucy were great guest at our home in Tulum. Was amazing that we were able to meet Jessica before her stay and show her our little town and our home. Jessica and Lucy were very respectful and mindful of the quirks in Mexico being a third world country and as such were very accomodating . Would definitely not hesitate to do another exchange with them in Minneapolis
Anna was a guest in our home in 2019 and was very respectful and took good care of our home here in Tulum. WOuld definitely recommend her as a guest in your home. Was great to chat via whatsapp before and during her stay.

Annalie and family would definitely be welcomed back to our home at anytime. They were respectful and left the home as they found. You definitely can tell they are a well traveled family. Dont hesitate to open your home to them.
It was a amazing location to explore Sweden close to public transportation and the home is indeed as pictured, I would think perfect for families as is large. Annelie and Marcus were amazing host and looking forward to having them in Tulum Mexico later this year. Would definitely recomend exchanges with them.
