Neighbourhood

Montavilla is a classic Portland neighborhood. You will find 100-year-old craftsman homes nestled next to newly constructed townhouses. This is a neighborhood where people work and live so you may hear a truck starting, a dog barking, or even the occasional friendly neighborhood dog. This is a duplex so you may also hear the pitter patter of feet from the second story unit from time to time. This house is located on a quieter avenue that is off a busier mixed residential/commercial street. There is a dive bar, and a “lingerie modeling” business (Portland is well known for having many of these types of establishments) on the busier street that intersects ours. We’ve never had an issue with either establishment and can recommend the cold beer and tater tots at the dive bar. Nearby street parking is usually plentiful. This location is convenient to shopping and has nearby access to the I-205 and I-84 freeways. You can also take a 12 minute stroll to “The Yard” which is a nearby food cart pod, or Montavilla park which has an outdoor pool in warmer months. Also, do not miss out on the amazing restaurants on Stark Street or the Montavilla farmers market. We hope you enjoy your stay in this uniquely Portland neighborhood.
