Darlene and Richard's home and location are 5 star. We had an amazing time being on the lake. So much fun. Close to many amazing hikes and kayaking on the lake was excellent.
You will love it. 🥰
Daelene's home was a wonderful, peaceful place to spend a few days. It was clean and comfortable with a gas fireplace inside and gas fire table outside so we could enjoy the waterfront view. Darlene was very responsive in communication. Highly recommend a stay here. Thanks, Darlene and Richard
Perfect guest. Darlene and Richard left our house perfect. Excellent guests and we would welcome them back anytime.
Thank you 🙏
Darlene was a perfect guest. Our home was all set for us on our return.
Sabrina's home was comfortable and very clean. It is a very quaint Dutch Colonial home that has been updated beautifully. Communication with her was easy, she answered any questions we had and gave many suggestions. We had a wonderful time in The Hamton's and loved returning to her home for a good nights rest. Thank you Sabrina! We would welcome you to our home in North Georgia any time.
It was a pleasure having Ron and Nancy at our lakehouse. They were wonderful guests, we would welcome them again! We are excited to visit their home this summer.
We had a wonderful stay at Ron and Nancy’s house. Richard especially enjoyed fishing from their dock. He caught several fish and we even got a glimpse of 3 manatees swimming by.
Thank you. We enjoyed every part of your home. Plenty of places to relax or gather with friends. We loved being so close to the lake and kayaking. Hiawassee is very beautiful and many beautiful hikes close by.
Thank you Darlene
We had a wonderful stay at Betty and Jay’s place. We had to leave early due to a family emergency but had a wonderful time while we were there. Their home is in a great location and very clean. Betty was always easy to communicate with.
Betty and Jay were wonderful guests in our home. We would welcome them back anytime.

We are Richard and Darlene. Richard retired from a communications company a few years ago. I am a partner in a flooring store but recently relinquished most of my responsibilities to the son in law and we have started traveling more.
We travel alone at times, with couple friends at times and with our adult children and grandchildren at times. It just depends on the size of the home we are exchanging with and everyone’s schedules since family and friends still have jobs and school.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
