Neighbourhood

All properties in the area are on acreage, usually 4-5 acres, with some larger, older farm properties still remaining. We are nestled in the valley, surrounded by mountains, close to two National Scenic Tourist Drives; one up to Ocean View (which has a splendid winery) and Mount Mee, the other to Mount Glorious, with its beautiful rainforest walks. Samford Village is very popular on the weekends with Brisbanites on their foodie and arts trails, so it can get busy then, but during the week, it's a pleasant, leafy, laid back town with some great cafes. There is a walking trail which winds around the town, and a heritage trail. The Samford Valley Historical Museum, the Slab Hut Gallery and Tourist Information Centre are good spots to stop by. Despite the air of relaxed country living, Samford is only 30 minutes from the centre of Brisbane, and the famous Southbank Parklands.

Nearest airport

The closest airport is Brisbane International and Domestic. It's quite an easy drive there, taking under 40 minutes.

Getting around

You will require a car whilst staying, as the nearest train station is some 12 minutes away from the house. If we do end up doing a simultaneous exchange, we may be able to do a car swap as well.
