General overview

Our white weatherboard beach house is full of character and charm with lovely original wooden floorboards and large windows that allow air to flow and light to spill in. It also has all the modern comforts like a newly renovated kitchen and a modern laundry. There is a large deck that faces west and captures the afternoon sun. The back yard is grassed and has a vegetable garden.

The space

Our classic white beach house is a very calm and relaxing home that is tucked away in a quiet and secluded location, only minutes to both the bay and ocean beaches. Our beach house has two bedrooms with corner windows (enabling a flow through breeze) and a very comfortable king size bed (183cm x 203cm) in each. The kitchen has everything you need for a big cook up and there are many recipe books to ponder over for inspiration. Our dining area features a large retro green laminex dining table - which we love. There is a huge West facing deck - with gourmet bbq and a large outdoor dining table. The lounge area has comfy lounge chairs, a 50 inch smart TV and a gas heater. The bathroom is full of coastal charm with limewashed floors.

Guest access

The house is a single level on a flat block of land. There is a little ramp from the driveway to the entrance area. There is also a small ramp from the back door to the large sundeck.

Notes

Our home sleeps a maximum of 4 people. We prefer an exchange of at least 4 nights. While this is our vacation home - we do lease it and spend a lot of time here and so we do need to consider requests carefully. Our home is offered for your quiet enjoyment. Clean, quiet and well-behaved dogs may be able to stay. If you would like to bring your dog, please provide details in our communications. Please leave our home as clean and tidy as you found it. If you would like us to arrange cleaners please let us know. Cleaning fees will be approximately $140 AU. Neighbourhood

Our home is on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, located 90 minutes from Melbourne. We are close to some of the most beautiful beaches that can be experienced in the world. With the crystal clear bay beach just an 8 minute walk away and the stunning ocean beaches (with fabulous rock pools) only 12 minutes walk away - it is a very special place. And there are many, many other beach locations to explore. Some of these beaches are shown in the photos. In addition there are fabulous walking tracks, national parks, sailing clubs, surfing, hot springs, wineries and a range of golf clubs.

Getting to my home

Driving to our home is ideal. However it is possible to get there by catching a train from Melbourne to Frankston and then catching a bus from Frankston to Blairgowrie. It is a 600 metre walk to the house from the bus stop.

Nearest airport

Melbourne Airport - allow at least 2 hours

Getting around

A car is ideal. We have two bicycles that can be used to get around if you don't have a car. There are buses that travel up and down the Peninsula.
