A Mid-Century Modern with open kitchen, living and dining spaces on the main level. Sliding floor-to-ceiling glass doors integrate the vast outdoors. Original coved ceilings, built-ins and wood floors give this home timeless character and charm. Clean, simple lines, a natural color palette including stone, tile and brick compliment the homes' exterior. The short, open staircases create a connecting flow between levels.
The space
Upstairs and downstairs windows and trees surround the recently remodeled master suite, bedrooms and family room creating a dance of light and nature. Blackout blinds and curtains in both bedrooms and an organic Loom & Leaf Mattress in the Master Suite and new Queen Mattress in the second bedroom provide an amazing night’s sleep. A tankless heater provides hot water for the new jetted tub. New fridge, dishwasher, microwave and whole house air cleaner and water filter. A cozy gas stone fireplace in a light-filled family room and custom authentic cherry cabinetry throughout. The property is situated on a super quiet, two-home loop with mature trees and a privacy hedge on the west. Please remove your shoes before entering to preserve the refurbished original hardwood floors.

Neighbourhood
When visiting Boise, you’ll have an abundance of outdoor activities awaiting you. Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is located just 16.5 miles north of the city in the Boise National Forest. The ski area boasts 2,600 acres of skiable terrain, plus 37 kilometers of groomed Nordic ski trails, a tubing hill, a mountain coaster, a bungee trampoline, and scenic chairlift rides. Sun Valley, North America’s number one resort three years in a row, is less than three hours away. For more winter fun checkout the amazing snowshoeing trails: https://www.alltrails.com/us/idaho/boise/snowshoeing.
The Boise River Greenbelt—a 25-mile-long riverfront pathway hugs the Boise River as it meanders through the city. Year-round, the Greenbelt is a great place to stretch your legs, explore from the seat of a bicycle, or throw a few fly fishing casts. Anglers try their hands at reeling in one of the rainbow or brown trout in the scenic river.
Additional activities abound like live, local music, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and disc golf, . Outdoor enthusiasts traveling to Boise can also take advantage of the city’s convenient location at the base of the foothills of the Boise National Forest. The Ridge to Rivers trail network consists of over 190 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails that link the city of Boise with public lands. Visit ridgetorivers.org for a detailed map of trails, trailheads and hikes/rides.
In the summer head to the Boise Whitewater Park. The Boise Parks and Recreation Department offers a state of the art in-river experience in the heart of downtown Boise. The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation Boise Whitewater Park is a unique facility on the Boise River that features an adjustable wave for kayakers and surfers, three additional in-river wave structures with something for all skill levels, and a plaza area for viewing.
When visiting the state, it’s customary to indulge in some famous Idaho spuds, and the best place to do that is at Boise Fry Company. At this burger and fry joint, you can choose from six different types of potatoes and a variety of cuts to pair with your juicy burger and draft beer. If you’d prefer your plate to be piled high with bacon instead of potatoes, then a visit to BACON is an absolute must. This restaurant serves a bacon-forward breakfast and brunch menu and it’s everything you need to fuel up for your outdoor adventures. About 2 blocks away from our property is a combination of Wyld Child Burgers, Push and Pour Coffee, and the STIL which serves custom ice cream in countless varieties, all surrounding a patio with firepits and picnic tables.

Getting around
We would like to trade cars as well -- we have a 2013 Subaru Outback. We can also trade two bicycles.
We are a couple in our early 60s who love spending time on beautiful, peaceful beaches and taking long walks in nature. We are both non-smokers and we have no pets. Our homes are very well cared for. We will treat your home as our own and ask you do the same.
