We really loved our well needed holiday in Sardinia . Marta's house was a haven and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Marta shared info on lots of places we could visit locally and on the island. We enjoyed coastal walking and swimming in beautiful beaches, Santa Barbara Cave was amazing! The views from the house and around Nebida were very spectacular . Communication with Marta was very good. We haven't managed to meet up but we exchanged pictures from our adventures. We hope to visit Sardinia and Nebida again in the future and hopefully can meet Marta and her family then. Thank you for letting us experience Sardinia from you lovely home.

We had a lovely stay in Marta's home. The view is beautiful and you feel a part of village life. Driving the coastal road and sunset on the terrace was stunning. Her friendly neighbour kept us well supplied with lemons off his garden tree. Her home is perfectly placed for exploring the verdant and green area of SW Sardinia and farther afield. There is so much to do and see. We highly recommend a day trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Su Nuraxi di Barumini and Museum. While in the area visit Giara di Gesturi to see the wild horses. Follow the signs and enter the park from Setzu (turning up to the plateau is at the entrance to the village) as there are more horses living on this end of the park and the drive stunning too. We drove into the park with no problem. Again the drive and countryside is beautiful so green and full of fields of wildflowers when we were there in early May. Our favourite place in Nebida was the walk and view at the point at Belvedere (especially at sunset). We enjoyed drinks or pizza at Bar 906 Operaio several times followed by gelato in the village on the way home. We found ourselves without a reservation for lunch on Sunday and can highly recommend SA Rocca which is an Agri-Turismo Farm Hotel on the way to Buggerru. We were warmly welcomed late into the lunch setting. The many course set menu served family style provided a great introduction to Sardinia and we noticed the locals even took their leftovers home. (It was cash only--no cards) Marta made us feel very welcome and has clearly put her heart and soul into Casa Azzurra and it shows.
