Neighbourhood

Tuckahoe is a friendly historic village of 6,000 residents on the edge of the Bronx River. Our quiet, winding street is conveniently located just minutes by foot from all amenities: train station, bus stops, parks, grocery store, shoppes, restaurants, pharmacy, and library. It is also within quick access of major parkways for easy travels to Manhattan, New Jersey (beaches...), Long Island (The Hamptons...), Upstate New York and New England (Boston...). Our home truly offers the best of both worlds: alternate your visits between the bustling city and the verdant countryside. There are so many amazing cultural activities close to our home such as Dia Beacon Art Museum, Rockefeller Estate at Kykuit, Pocantico Church, Stone Barns Center and Blue Hill, Storm King Outdoor Art Center, Bannerman Castle on Pollepel Island, The Cloisters Museum (part of the Met), New York Botanical Gardens. For children: Bronx zoo, Playland amusement park and Rye beach are all within a short drive. Legoland is one hour away.

Nearest airport

Westchester County Airport – 16 miles (26km) Laguardia Airport – 18 miles (29km) JFK Airport – 23 miles (37km) Newark Airport – 36 miles (58km)

Getting around

Walk to shoppes, restaurants and commuter train (station to NYC is 0.6 km away). A car is convenient but not necessary. Car exchange possible, but we prefer each using/renting our own – Honda Fit 2009, seats 5.
