General overview
Our special Casa in the Sun is located a 10 minute drive to the Pueblo Magico town of Loreto. Our area is called Loreto Bay and our home is a 2 minute walk to the beach, the golf course and several restaurants and amenities. There are endless possibilities for adventure in the vast baja desert and the Sea of Cortez. It is truly a magical place where the mountains meet the sea.
The space
As you enter our casa you are welcomed by a beautiful open courtyard and cactus garden with tiled fountain and seating area. The house has a Spanish villa feel with the living/dining decorated in traditional Mexican style. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to make a perfect meal to enjoy outside in the courtyard or on the huge top deck. Two large bedrooms have king-size beds, and the third has a double sofa-bed. There is plenty of seating and umbrellas, a built-in BBQ and lovely views towards the mountains.
Guest access
The casa is on two levels so you do need to be able to climb a flight of outside stairs.

There is one kayak, a pair of beach bike cruisers and beach gear available for use.

Neighbourhood
The Loreto Bay community is made up of a series of planned villas with gorgeous walkways and three community pools, a golf course and lovely beach for walking, swimming, snorkeling and kayaking/paddleboarding - the options are endless. There are some really great restaurants close by as well as a good coffee shop, bakery, convenience store and hotel. Also, pickleball courts, tennis courts and ATV rentals for exploring the desert. Everything is a short walk from our cassa.
Getting to my home
There are several flights direct to Loreto from Calgary, Canada, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, and San Francisco in the US. You can also fly Volaris (a Mexican airline) from Tijuana, Mexico and there are connections from Cabo San Lucas at the tip of the Baja.
Nearest airport
The airport is only a 10 minute drive from our home and there are taxis available.
Getting around
Everything is within a short walk from our casa to the places in Loreto Bay. You will need a car or take a taxi to the town of Loreto which is a 10 minute drive.

I am a retired fundraiser who worked in post-secondary education and my husband is semi-retired from his own sport architectural firm. We love to discover new places and are keen to exchange in the UK, Europe and beyond.
Our second home is located in magical Loreto in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Our 3 bed, 3 bath home is 100 feet from the Sea of Cortez and 100 feet from a golf course. The home is situated in Nopolo, a 10 minute drive from the airport and short drive to downtown Loreto. It is a very special spot perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors and a peaceful place in the sun
We take care of our home and we will take care of yours and leave it as we found it. The house exchange world is fairly new to us and we look forward to all the excitement it brings and meeting new friends around the globe.
