General overview
Hello dear PLU,
We live in an apartment at the second floor (no lift) in the city centre of Bologna.
The apartment is very quiet as it faces an internal courtyard even if we are so close to Piazza Maggiore.
It's a one bedroom place where we have a queen size bed and an armchair bed (single size), then in the living room we have a sofa bed (double size)
The kitchen is small but functional with also a dishwasher.
Bathroom has a shower and the washing machine.
The space
The front door opens up on the living space. There's a separate kitchen with a table that can sit up to 6 people. Tight but they would fit!
The bedroom is next to the living space and is quite spacious. Ceilings are very high and the apartment is bright and airy.
The apartment faces West so we get a lovely afternoon sun!
There's a small balcony in the bedroom where you can sit for a drink.
Guest access
The apartment is at the second floor of a 3 stories apartment building. Unfortunately there's no lift but the staircase is very large, making it comfortable to carry luggage up and down.
Notes
If you have your own bicycle the apartment is in an internal courtyard where you can park your bikes. It's also inside the ZTL (no traffic access area) of the city centre but you can get in before 7am or after 8pm for free or in other hours paying a small fee to the council. We do NOT have parking so we suggest to park at Parcheggio Tanari and get the shuttle to the city centre.

Neighbourhood
The neighbourhood is extremely central but very quiet. Access to the house goes through some narrow roads so a campervan is not really great to get there. Piazza Maggiore is only 3 mins. walking distance.
Getting to my home
Bologna's airport is about 45 mins by public transport to our house.
Bologna's train station is about 25 mins walking distance to our house.
You can reach the house via car too but being in the city centre it's in the traffic controlled area, meaning you can pay a fee to access it or enter before 7am or after 8pm.
Bicycles are readily available through an app in the city so we highly recommend going around with that or walking!
Nearest airport
Bologna's airport. Aeroporto Guglielmo Marconi.
It's about 45 mins with public transport from our house.
Getting around
There's a small deli 2 mins walking from the apartment. And various supermarkets within 10 mins walking.
There's a pharmacy 3 mins walking.
An osteria (traditional Italian pub style eatery) 2 mins walking distance.
Various restaurants and bars just around the corner.
