Neighbourhood

Malmo is a great town - a big little small town, the best of two worlds. We are also very close to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The neighborhood is called Davidshall and is a chic and popular area in center of Malmo. Here you can find cool nice restaurants, shops and you are just 5 minutes away from the main shopping street. You are very close to the 2 most beautiful parks in Malmo (or Sweden): Slottsparken/Kungsparken just across the street behind the Malmo Stadsbibliotek (the city’s main library) Pildammsparken is 10 minutes’ walk from here. 15 minutes’ walk from here you will find Möllevången. It’s an outdoor food market which mainly sells vegetables and fruit. It is open Monday – Saturday 7am - 3pm. When you are at Möllevångstorget don’t miss Möllans ost. A great cheese store with a superb selection. They are happy to let you taste before you buy. 15 minutes’ walk from us don’t miss to discover West Harbor (Västra Hamnen). An area that was built in 2001 as a housing fair. A lot of different architects and builders were invited to participate and the area was shown in a fair. In West Harbor you can also find the famous Turning Torso. A 54-store building that’s shaped like a turning tower. A must to see when you are visiting Malmo. If you would like to take a trip over to Copenhagen you can take the train from either Triangeln train station (12 mins walk) or the Main central station (15 minutes). Train leaves every 20 minutes except after midnight, when they run every hour. Take the train to Huvudbangarden to get to the city center. You take the same train to get to the airport (Kastrup or Copenhagen airport). Make sure you buy the ticket before entering the train as you will penalized otherwise. You can buy the ticket before entering the train in the station, or you can download skanetrafiken app.

Nearest airport

From Copenhagen airport (CPH) you can take the train or a taxi. The taxi costs about 90 USD and the train 12USD per person. There are three stations in Malmö and the closest one to get to our apartment is Malmö Triangeln.

Getting around

Location of this place is the best one can possibly find. Trainstation at walking distance, beautiful parks opposite the house, the old city of Malmö (Gamla Staden) is a true gem and located at five minutes walk. Going to the coastline and watch the Öresund bridge or the Turning Torso skyscraper, or take a sauna plus seadip: all very closeby and a most pleasant stroll. There are many supermarkets, and outdoor market stalls, and an abundance of restaurants and coffeecorners....all at just minutes away. Staying at our place is staying in the epicentre of Malmö. You will love the compactness of the centre, the endless possibilities to go out and explore, the museums and cobbled streets and hidden courtyards, the cool and hip new living areas in the former industrial parts of town.
